The network

One standard in 500 cities across 119 countries: the same booking, the same vetted chauffeurs and the same dispatch desk. All cities →

BlaakLane.com offers affiliate chauffeur work through the dispatch app, by email or as job sheets, each with an acceptance window. What the affiliate receives is set by the rate card for their city, covering transfers, hourly work, waiting and extras. Payment terms are set out in the affiliate agreement, typically weekly or bi-weekly bank transfer, in the currency agreed for your city.

How are jobs offered to affiliates?

Every job reaches an affiliate in writing, through one of three channels agreed at onboarding:

  • The dispatch app. Offers appear with the full trip details and accept and decline buttons. The app is also where you mark yourself on site, update the passenger's status and close the job.
  • Email. Each offer is sent to your dispatch contact as a job email, and you accept or decline by replying. This suits companies whose own dispatch software reads bookings from email.
  • Job sheets. For planned programmes such as crew changes, roadshows, conferences and weddings, the coordinator sends a job sheet or programme sheet listing every movement, vehicle and passenger, confirmed in writing before the day.

Offers go to affiliates approved for that city and vehicle class. When more than one affiliate could cover a trip, the choice takes account of the class, the location, the affiliate's recent record and whether the passenger or booker has asked for a chauffeur they have travelled with before.

What does a job sheet contain?

  • A booking reference, used on every message and on your statement.
  • The passenger name, the number of passengers and bags, and the contact number to use on the day.
  • The date and pickup time, or the flight number and scheduled arrival for airport pickups.
  • The pickup address or terminal and the drop-off address, with any stops in order.
  • The vehicle class booked and any requirements such as child seats.
  • Add-ons, such as meet and greet in the arrivals hall where it is available.
  • Notes from the booker: preferred language, discretion requests, dress, or a second contact.
  • The amount the affiliate will receive for the trip as booked, calculated from your city's rate card.

How do acceptance windows work?

Each offer shows how long you have to accept it. The window is longer for trips booked days or weeks ahead and short for same-day requests, when a passenger may already be waiting on a confirmation. If the window closes without an answer, the offer moves to another affiliate. Declining is always better than letting an offer lapse, because it lets dispatch move quickly, and a decline does not count against you. Once accepted, the trip is yours and the passenger's confirmation names your company and chauffeur.

What happens after you accept?

Changes are normal in chauffeur work. Flights move, meetings overrun and passengers add a stop. Every change the passenger or booker makes is sent to you as an updated job, and the amount you will receive is recalculated from the rate card where the change affects it. For trips booked well ahead, dispatch may ask you to reconfirm the day before. If you need to hand a trip back, do it as early as possible by calling dispatch; an early hand-back is a routine re-assignment, while a late one leaves a passenger at risk.

How are rate cards structured per city?

Every approved affiliate receives a rate card for each city it covers, attached to the affiliate agreement. We do not publish affiliate rates, and the figures differ from city to city, but every card follows the same structure:

Rate card elementHow it is structured
Transfer ratesA fixed amount per vehicle class for each zone pair, for example city centre to main airport, or hotel district to cruise port
Hourly as-directedAn hourly amount per class, with a minimum number of hours and a note on how part hours are counted
WaitingAn amount per 15-minute block once the passenger's included waiting has been used
Extra stopsAn amount per additional stop inside the zone, and how stops outside it are treated
Out-of-area and intercityDistance-based or route-based amounts for trips beyond the standard zones
Add-onsAmounts for meet and greet where it is offered, and for other extras available in that city
Pass-through costsAirport access fees, parking and tolls incurred on the trip, and how receipts are submitted
Late cancellations and no-showsWhat the affiliate receives when a passenger cancels late or does not show, linked to the passenger cancellation bands

Rate cards are reviewed with affiliates from time to time, for example when a city's airport fees or tolls change. Passenger fares are shown on our rates page and on the reservation engine; affiliate rates are a separate, private schedule.

How is waiting paid?

Passengers receive included waiting with every booking: 60 minutes from actual landing on international arrivals, 30 minutes on domestic flights and 15 minutes on other pickups. Because every airport pickup is flight-tracked, the clock starts from the tracked landing, not the timetable. Waiting inside the included period is part of the transfer amount. Waiting beyond it is recorded in 15-minute blocks and paid at the waiting rate on your card, provided you told dispatch when the included time ran out and entered the actual times when you closed the job. Unreported waiting cannot be charged to the passenger, and so cannot be paid.

How are extras, parking and tolls handled?

Extras requested on the job sheet, such as an additional stop, a child seat or meet and greet, are already priced into the amount on the offer. Extras the passenger asks for during the trip must be reported to dispatch before you act on them, so they are added to the booking and to your statement. Airport parking, access fees and tolls incurred on the trip are handled as your city's rate card sets out, usually by submitting the receipt or the toll record with the closed job. Keep receipts until the trip appears on a paid statement.

What happens when a passenger cancels or does not show?

Passengers can cancel free of charge more than 72 hours before pickup. They pay 10% at 72 hours or less, 50% at 48 hours or less and 100% at 24 hours or less or on a no-show. Your rate card sets what the affiliate receives in each of those bands. A no-show is only paid as one when it has been declared by dispatch after the procedure in the affiliate standards: full included waiting, calls and messages to the passenger, and release by dispatch, with times recorded.

What are the payment terms?

Payment terms are set out in the affiliate agreement, typically weekly or bi-weekly bank transfer. Each payment covers the trips completed and closed in the period, and is accompanied by a statement listing every booking reference, the amount for the trip, waiting, extras and pass-through costs, and any adjustments. Payments go to the bank account named on your registration, which must be in the same name as your licence and insurance. If you change bank accounts, send the new details in writing from your registered email; for your protection, we confirm changes before any payment is redirected.

Which currencies are affiliates paid in?

Affiliates are normally paid in the currency of their rate card, which is usually the local currency of the city. Where a local account cannot receive an international transfer in that currency, the agreement records an alternative, for example US dollars, euros or pounds sterling. International transfers need the right bank identifiers: an IBAN in countries that use one, and the bank's SWIFT/BIC code. Any fees your own bank charges to receive a transfer, and exchange rates applied by your bank, are between you and your bank.

How do invoices and statements work?

Many affiliates are fine with our payment statement as the record, and in many countries that is enough. If your tax authority requires you to issue an invoice, you can send one per period that matches the statement, showing your business name, registration and tax numbers, the period and the total. Invoices should list the booking references listed on the statement so they can be matched quickly. We keep statements available so you can download them for your records and your accountant.

How are taxes handled?

Affiliates are independent businesses and are responsible for their own income tax and for charging and reporting any sales tax that applies to their services. Whether sales tax applies depends on your country and turnover: in Canada, operators may need to register for GST/HST with the Canada Revenue Agency; in the European Union, VAT rules are set nationally within the framework described by the European Commission; in the United States, the IRS and state authorities set the rules. Where you are registered, tell us your tax number and the rate that applies, and it is shown on your statements. We cannot give tax advice, so speak to a local accountant.

How are disputes and adjustments resolved?

If a statement does not match your records, reply to the statement email or contact the partner desk with the booking reference, what you expected and why: for example waiting that was reported but not paid, an extra stop missing from the booking, or a toll receipt that was not included. Most differences are settled by comparing the job record, the dispatch log and the receipts. Adjustments appear on the next statement. Passenger complaints that could affect a payment are shared with you, with the details, before any adjustment is made, and you have the chance to give your account. The affiliate agreement sets out the time limit for raising a query.

What keeps payments flowing without delay?

  • Close every job promptly with actual times, waiting and extras.
  • Send receipts for parking and tolls with the closed job, not weeks later.
  • Keep licences, insurance and inspection certificates current; offers stop when a document expires.
  • Keep bank details, tax numbers and your company name identical across your documents.
  • Answer statement queries from the partner desk quickly.

Membership is $30 a month for owner-operators and $50 a month for limousine companies and fleet owners (annual plans $360 and $600, plus a one-time $14.95 setup fee); it is billed separately and never deducted from trip payments. FAQ

Questions, answered

How often are BlaakLane.com affiliates paid?

Payment terms are set out in the affiliate agreement, typically weekly or bi-weekly bank transfer. Each payment covers the trips completed and closed in that period and comes with a statement listing every booking reference, the trip amount, waiting, extras, pass-through costs and any adjustments.

How much does an affiliate chauffeur earn per trip?

We do not publish affiliate rates or promise earnings. Each approved affiliate receives a private rate card for its city, with amounts per vehicle class for transfers by zone, hourly work, waiting blocks, extras and cancellations. The amount for each trip is shown on the offer before you accept it, so you always know what a job pays.

What if I cannot answer an offer in time?

If the acceptance window closes without an answer, the offer moves to another affiliate. Nothing is charged and nothing is lost, but offers that lapse often suggest you are not available. If you cannot take a trip, decline it: a quick decline helps dispatch and does not count against you.

Is waiting time paid to affiliates?

Yes, beyond the passenger's included waiting. Included waiting (60 minutes on international arrivals, 30 on domestic flights, 15 on other pickups) is part of the transfer amount. Further waiting is paid in 15-minute blocks at your rate card's waiting rate, provided you told dispatch and recorded the actual times.

Which currency will I be paid in?

Normally the currency of your city's rate card, usually the local currency. Where a local transfer in that currency is not possible, the agreement records an alternative such as US dollars, euros or pounds sterling. You need to provide the correct bank identifiers, such as an IBAN and SWIFT/BIC code, for international transfers.

Do I have to send invoices?

Not always. Many affiliates use our payment statement as the record. If your tax authority requires you to issue invoices, send one per period that matches the statement, with your business name, registration and tax numbers, and the booking references from the statement.

Are affiliates paid for late cancellations and no-shows?

Your rate card sets what the affiliate receives in each passenger cancellation band: 10% at 72 hours or less, 50% at 48 hours or less and 100% at 24 hours or less or on a no-show. A no-show is only paid as one when dispatch has declared it after the full waiting and contact procedure.
