Chauffeur service across Sweden: arriving at Arlanda, Bromma and Landvetter

Stockholm Arlanda, about 40 km north of the capital, is Sweden's long-haul gateway, and Terminals 2 and 5 handle most international flights. Bromma, only 8 km from the city centre, takes domestic and short European services, while Göteborg Landvetter serves the west coast about 25 km east of Gothenburg. Intercity routes by car

The E4 north of Stockholm and the E6 along the west coast are the busiest corridors. The Øresund crossing into Denmark is a toll bridge, and Denmark and Sweden have run identity checks at that border at various times, so carry a passport even within Schengen.

Norway is outside the EU but inside Schengen, and a road trip from Gothenburg to Oslo, about 290 km or 3.25 to 4 hours, crosses a customs border at Svinesund where goods checks apply. Long Swedish transfers suit a car when a team needs to work en route; otherwise the X 2000 and newer high-speed trains between Stockholm and Gothenburg take about three hours, and a chauffeur can meet you at the station at either end.

Congestion charges, winter driving and the Swedish year

Sweden drives on the right with dipped headlights on at all times. Stockholm and Gothenburg both levy a congestion tax on vehicles passing their charging points on weekdays, with no charge in July in Stockholm. That tax is not part of the fare: it is added at the actual amount, as are airport parking and gratuity.

Winter tyres are required from 1 December to 31 March whenever winter road conditions apply, and daylight shrinks to about six hours in Stockholm in late December. Summer nights, by contrast, barely darken.
