More questions about booking
What is the minimum for an hourly booking?
Three hours. Hourly bookings keep the car and chauffeur with you between stops, which suits roadshows, site visits, shopping days, weddings and winery tours. Tell dispatch the first pickup and a rough plan for the day when you book.
Which charges are not included in the fare?
Gratuity, airport, port and station parking, and congestion or low-emission zone charges (such as those set by Transport for London) are not included. They are charged at the actual amount and added to the booking. Where local taxes apply, they appear as a separate line.
Which vehicle should I book for five people with luggage?
The Standard Black SUV or the Executive Black SUV, which each take six passengers and six bags. If the group has more than six large cases, book the Sprinter Van, which carries 12 passengers and 12 small bags. Compare every class on the fleet page.
Can I bring large suitcases in the Sprinter Luxury Jet Van?
No. The Jet Van seats seven in a lounge-style cabin and takes carry-on luggage only. For a group with checked bags, the Sprinter Van is the right choice.
Can I book a car for someone else?
Yes. Enter the traveller as the lead passenger, with their own mobile number, so the chauffeur can reach them directly. Assistants and travel managers on a corporate account can save traveller profiles so the details are filled in each time.
When will I know who my chauffeur is?
The chauffeur's name, mobile number and vehicle are sent before pickup. When the trip is driven by a vetted local affiliate, the confirmation also names the operator.
What happens if my flight lands early?
Nothing changes for you. The flight is tracked from take-off and the chauffeur is timed to the actual landing, early or late, and the included waiting time counts from that landing.
Can I get a stretch limousine or a Rolls-Royce?
The Luxury Stretch Limo seats eight and can be booked on the engine; it is fulfilled by vetted affiliate operators. For a Rolls-Royce or a Bentley, ask the desk: both are arranged through vetted partners and confirmed in writing. See wedding limousine.
How old are the vehicles?
Every vehicle in the network is four model years old or younger. Only Rolls-Royce, Maybach and Bentley are accepted up to seven model years.
Can I change the time after booking?
Yes. Reply to the confirmation or contact the desk with the new time. A change that alters the trip, for example a larger vehicle or a longer route, can change the fare, and the updated confirmation shows it.
Do you arrange flights and hotels as well?
Ground transport is booked here. Flights, hotels, resorts and packages can be arranged through the travel desk, run with BookingWorldwide.net.
I own a limousine business. Can I drive for BlaakLane.com?
Owner-operators, limousine companies and fleet owners can apply. Read drive with us and then register; membership is $30 a month or $360 a year for owner-operators and $50 a month or $600 a year for companies, plus a one-time $14.95 setup fee.
Is meet and greet available at every airport?
No. Curbside pickup at the airport's designated commercial or pre-arranged pickup area is standard everywhere. A name-board meet in the arrivals hall is an add-on; add-ons are only available in selected locations. The reservation engine shows whether it can be added for your pickup. See airport meet and greet.
My city is not on the list. Can you still send a car?
Often, yes. Contact dispatch with the pickup, the destination and the date; many trips outside the listed cities can still be arranged through the affiliate network.
What if I need more time at the hotel before pickup?
Standard pickups include 15 minutes of waiting. Beyond that, extra waiting is billed in 15-minute blocks. If you know you will be late, call the desk so the chauffeur is told.
Is the chauffeur's gratuity included?
No. Gratuity is not included in the fare and is charged at actual cost, like parking and congestion or low-emission zone charges.
Can I pay in my own currency?
Fares are charged in the currency shown at booking. Corporate accounts are invoiced monthly, and the invoice shows each trip with its fare and any additions charged at actual cost, such as parking or extra waiting.
