Business aviation runs on a different clock. How a private-aviation pickup differs

A business-aviation arrival is booked on the tail number, not a flight number, and the chauffeur waits at the fixed-base operator (FBO) rather than a public curb. Where the airport authority and the handling agent permit it, the car can meet the aircraft planeside; where they do not, the handover happens at the FBO door after customs. Tell dispatch the tail number, the FBO you are using, the estimated arrival time in local time and the number of passengers and bags.

Customs, crew and timing

Many FBOs clear international arrivals on site, which is often much faster than a terminal, but some airports send private passengers through the main terminal for immigration. The chauffeur is timed to the actual arrival, and schedule changes should be passed to dispatch as soon as the crew files a new time. Crews often need their own car to the hotel after shutdown; book it on the same account.

Discretion and passenger details

Principals often travel under a booking made by an assistant, a flight department or a family office. Give dispatch the lead passenger's name as it should appear to the chauffeur, the contact who can take calls on the day and any instructions about signage. Vehicles for principals and crews

The Executive First Class Sedan (Maybach) and the Executive Black SUV are the usual choices for principals; a Sprinter Van or Sprinter Luxury Jet Van moves a crew or an entourage with carry-on bags.
