Love Field: close to town, busy with business jets
Dallas Love Field is owned by the City of Dallas and sits about six miles northwest of downtown, next to the Bluffview and University Park neighbourhoods. Airline passengers use one terminal on the south side of the field; business aviation uses several FBOs along the other edges, each with its own road entrance. Signature, Atlantic and Business Jet Center
Three well-known FBOs work at Love Field: Signature Aviation, Atlantic Aviation and Business Jet Center. They are spread around the field, and the drive from one to another on public roads can take ten minutes or more, so the handler's name is the most useful thing in the booking. We name these FBOs only as places we pick up from; none is a BlaakLane.com partner, and each makes its own rules about cars on its property.
Is planeside pickup allowed at DAL?
Sometimes, and only by permission. The standard pickup is at the FBO's front door, where staff direct chauffeured cars to wait. A car can drive onto the ramp to meet the aircraft only when the FBO and the aircraft operator approve ramp access for that driver and vehicle. The answer depends on the FBO's security procedures, how crowded the ramp is and the operator's own preference. We make the request and confirm the result in writing; we never guarantee it.
Customs for international business flights
Flights arriving from Mexico, Canada or overseas must clear U.S. Customs and Border Protection, and the passenger manifest goes in before the aircraft leaves. Your flight department and FBO will know whether the aircraft can clear at Love Field or must first stop at another port of entry, and that decision sets the arrival time we plan around. Passengers keep their own passports; the chauffeur waits outside and is told by the FBO when the group is released. The 60 minutes of included international waiting begins at arrival.

Big weekends in Dallas
Some dates fill the Love Field FBOs quickly. The State Fair of Texas usually runs from late September through October at Fair Park, and the Texas-Oklahoma football game is usually played there in October. Cowboys home games at AT&T Stadium bring visiting owners and sponsors through the autumn, and the city hosts large conventions through the year. Book both legs early on those dates. Your fare is fixed for the address, date, time and vehicle. The included wait is an hour for international flights and half an hour for domestic ones; after that it runs in 15-minute blocks. Child seats are free on request. Plans change: cancel more than 72 hours before pickup at no cost, or pay 10% at 72 hours or less, 50% at 48 hours or less, and 100% at 24 hours or less or for a no-show.
