Chauffeur service across China: what to know

Most international visitors enter China through one of six airports: Shanghai Pudong (PVG), Shanghai Hongqiao (SHA), Beijing Capital (PEK), Beijing Daxing (PKX), Guangzhou Baiyun (CAN) and Shenzhen Bao'an (SZX). Pudong carries the bulk of Shanghai's long-haul traffic through Terminals 1 and 2, while Hongqiao is mainly domestic and sits next to the city's biggest high-speed rail station. Beijing splits its flights between Capital, north-east of the Third Ring Road, and Daxing, which opened in 2019 on the far southern edge of the city. Shanghai hosts the Chinese Grand Prix, usually in spring, and the China International Import Expo, usually in November. Summer in the south brings typhoon warnings that can close airports for a day at a time.
