The BlaakLane.com travel desk links chauffeur bookings with BookingWorldwide.net, where you can book flights, hotels, resorts, activities, packages and car rental. Book the trip there, then add the chauffeur for each airport arrival, hotel transfer, meeting and departure here, with flight tracking and a fixed fare before you confirm. Delegations, weddings and crews are planned by a coordinator.
What is the BlaakLane.com travel desk?
A chauffeur is one part of a trip. The flight, the hotel, the dinner reservation, the day between meetings and the flight home all have to line up with the car. The travel desk puts those pieces side by side: BookingWorldwide.net handles the travel booking itself, and BlaakLane.com handles the ground movement in 500 cities, timed to the flights and the hotel.
You can use the two independently, and many travellers do. The value comes when they are planned together: the flight number feeds the chauffeur's flight tracking, the hotel address becomes the drop-off, check-out time sets the departure pickup, and a delegation's rooming list becomes the vehicle plan.
What can you book on BookingWorldwide.net?
| Category | What it covers | How the chauffeur fits |
|---|---|---|
| Flights | Business and first-class fares, plus economy, on one search | Flight number drives flight tracking and pickup timing |
| Hotels | City hotels, airport hotels and serviced residences | Hotel becomes the arrival drop-off and departure pickup |
| Resorts | Island, ski, desert and spa resorts | Longer transfers planned with the right vehicle and luggage space |
| Activities | Private tours, tickets and experiences | Hourly or as-directed chauffeur between activities |
| Packages | Flight and hotel held together for a trip or group | Transfers added for every leg of the package |
| Car rental | Self-drive for days a chauffeur is not needed | Chauffeur for airport and evening legs, rental for the rest |
Availability, fares and conditions for flights, hotels and packages are set on BookingWorldwide.net at the time of booking and are shown there before you pay. Chauffeur fares are shown in our reservation engine as a fixed fare for the address, date, time and vehicle.
How does booking a trip with a chauffeur work?
The simplest path is three steps:
- Book the travel on BookingWorldwide.net: flights, hotel or a package.
- Book the chauffeur here for each ground leg: the arrival from the airport, any meetings or as-directed hours, and the departure back to the airport. Enter the flight number on airport pickups so the chauffeur is timed to the actual landing.
- Check the confirmations side by side: flight times, hotel address and check-in, and chauffeur pickup times and points.
If you would rather not piece it together, send the itinerary to the desk and a coordinator will book the chauffeur legs around it and send one confirmation for the ground plan. For multi-city trips, each city's chauffeur is booked on the same account and the same standard, with the operator named on each confirmation.
How are flights and pickups linked?

The flight is what makes an airport pickup work, so it is the first thing we ask for. With a flight number on the booking, the chauffeur's timing follows the aircraft rather than the schedule: an early landing is covered, and a delay does not cost you waiting time. Included waiting runs from actual landing: 60 minutes on international arrivals, 30 minutes on domestic flights and 15 minutes on other pickups, then 15-minute blocks.
- Curbside pickup at the airport's designated commercial or pre-arranged pickup area is standard. The chauffeur is not inside the terminal by default.
- Meet and greet in the arrivals hall with a name board is an add-on. Add-ons are only available in selected locations.
- Connections and diversions: if the flight is rebooked, tell the desk the new flight and the pickup moves with it.
- Immigration and baggage: international arrivals often take 30 to 60 minutes or more from landing to kerb depending on queues, which is why the 60 minutes of included waiting starts at landing.
For official entry requirements before you travel, check the government advisory for your nationality, such as Travel.gc.ca for Canadians or travel.state.gov for US citizens. Airlines and airports publish their own rules; IATA is the reference for industry-wide travel documentation.
How do hotels and resorts fit into the ground plan?
Once the hotel is booked, its address becomes the drop-off for the arrival transfer and the pickup for the departure. We time departures from the hotel to the flight: allowing for traffic at that hour, the terminal, the airline's check-in cut-off and whether you have bags to drop. For resort stays, transfers can be long, sometimes two to three hours from the nearest airport, so we check luggage and passenger count and suggest the right vehicle: an executive SUV or Standard Black SUV for a family with ski or golf bags, a Sprinter Van for a group.
Private-jet travellers can combine a hotel booking with an FBO pickup; see private aviation. Cruise passengers booking a pre-cruise hotel can add the hotel-to-pier transfer on embarkation day; see cruise ports.
How does the travel desk help executives?
For executives and their assistants, the benefit is fewer moving parts. The flight and hotel are booked in one place, and every ground leg is booked here on the same corporate account, billed monthly to the right cost centre. A typical executive trip looks like this:
- Home or office to the departure airport, timed to the check-in cut-off.
- Arrival transfer from the airport to the hotel, flight-tracked.
- An as-directed chauffeur for a day of meetings, waiting outside each address.
- A dinner transfer in the evening, in a Luxury Executive Sedan.
- The departure transfer from the hotel to the airport, timed to the flight.
Every leg carries the same safety standard, the same confirmation format and the same 24/7 desk. Travel managers see the ground spend on the account reporting; see corporate accounts and executive chauffeur service.
How are delegations handled?
Delegations, whether government, corporate or trade, combine flights arriving at different times, a block of hotel rooms, a programme of meetings or visits, and strict timing. Delegation movements are planned by a coordinator and confirmed in writing. The coordinator works from the delegation's flight list, rooming list and programme to build a vehicle plan: which principal travels in which car, which staff share a Sprinter Van, when luggage travels separately, and which vehicles hold as-directed near the venue.
- Arrivals are grouped by flight, with a Luxury Executive Sedan or SUV for principals and vans or coaches for staff.
- Hotel-to-venue movements follow the programme, with timings confirmed the evening before.
- Security requirements, including armoured vehicles after a risk assessment, are added where needed.
- Changes during the visit go to one coordinator, not to a list of drivers.
See government, diplomatic and delegation transportation for more on how these programmes run.
How does the travel desk work for weddings?
Destination weddings and weddings with many travelling guests combine flights, a hotel block, a venue and a timed day. Guests can book their flights and rooms through BookingWorldwide.net, and the ground plan covers airport arrivals for the couple and family, guest shuttles between the hotel and the venue, and the cars for the day itself: a Rolls-Royce, Maybach or Bentley for the couple, a stretch limousine for the wedding party, Sprinter Vans or coaches for guests. Wedding programmes with several vehicles are planned by a coordinator and confirmed in writing, and the individual cars are described on the wedding limousine page.
How are airline, ship and production crews supported?
Crews move in groups, on tight rosters, often at night, and their plans change. For airline crews, ground transport between the airport and the crew hotel is scheduled against the roster and adjusted as flights move; see airline crew transportation. For shipping crew changes, seafarers travel from their home airport to a hotel near the port and then to the vessel, often across several countries in 48 hours; the coordinator links flights, hotel nights and transfers so the ship's agent has one plan. Film, music and sport crews combine flights, hotel blocks, equipment and venues, and are handled the same way. Crew changes are planned by a coordinator and confirmed in writing.
Can I combine car rental with a chauffeur?
Yes, and it often makes sense. A traveller on a week-long trip might want a chauffeur for the long-haul arrival, when they are tired and the route is unfamiliar, and for evening dinners, but prefer a self-drive car for the days in between. Book the rental on BookingWorldwide.net and the chauffeur legs here. We can also plan around the rental: collect the traveller from the rental return before the departure flight, or meet them at an airport where they drop the car. Our hourly and as-directed chauffeur page explains how chauffeur hours are booked.
What does the chauffeur part of the trip include?
The chauffeur fare is fixed before you confirm, with no surge and no meter. It covers the vehicle and a vetted, licensed chauffeur for the booked route or hours, flight tracking on airport pickups and the included waiting described above. The same nine vehicle classes are available in every city, from Standard Sedans to Sprinter Vans, coaches and armoured vehicles on request; see the fleet and rates. Outside the home dispatch area around Toronto, trips are driven by a vetted local affiliate, and the confirmation names the operator and chauffeur. Child seats are free on request in most cities.
What should I send the desk for a planned trip?
A coordinator can build the ground plan quickly when the itinerary arrives in one message. For most trips, send:
- Traveller names and mobile numbers, and who should receive confirmations.
- Flight numbers and dates for every arrival and departure, including connections.
- Hotel or resort names and addresses, with check-in and check-out dates.
- Meeting, venue or activity addresses and times, and whether the chauffeur should wait.
- Passenger and luggage counts per leg, including skis, golf bags, equipment cases or wheelchairs.
- Preferences: vehicle class, meet and greet where available, child seats, name-board wording.
- For corporate trips, the account name and the cost centre or project code.
The coordinator replies with a vehicle plan and the fixed fare for each leg, and changes after confirmation go to the same person.
What are the cancellation terms?
Two sets of terms apply to a combined trip. Flights, hotels, resorts, activities, packages and car rental booked on BookingWorldwide.net follow the conditions shown there at the time of booking, which vary by fare and supplier. Chauffeur bookings with BlaakLane.com follow one rule: no charge more than 72 hours before pickup, 10 % at 72 hours or less, 50 % at 48 hours or less, and 100 % at 24 hours or less or for a no-show. If your flight is cancelled or rebooked, tell the desk as soon as you know and the chauffeur booking is moved to the new flight where possible. Full chauffeur terms are on the terms page.
How do I start?
For a single traveller, book the flight and hotel on BookingWorldwide.net, then book each chauffeur leg in the reservation engine. For a delegation, a wedding, a crew or any trip with several vehicles, send the itinerary through the contact page and a coordinator will build the ground plan and confirm it in writing. City guides for Paris, London, New York and every other city we serve are listed on the cities page.
