How a Palm Beach black car booking works

What you pay for, and the policies behind it
The Palm Beach fare is fixed for the route, vehicle and time you booked. It does not rise because a drawbridge is up or because Season traffic on Okeechobee Boulevard is heavy. Waiting is included: 60 minutes from actual landing for international arrivals, 30 minutes for domestic flights and 15 minutes for other pickups, then 15-minute blocks. If plans change, the cancellation rule is simple: free more than 72 hours out, 10% at 72 hours or less, 50% at 48 hours or less, and 100% at 24 hours or less or for a no-show. The rates page shows planning ranges by vehicle class.

The Palm Beach airport: new name, same terminal
Palm Beach International Airport was renamed President Donald J. Trump International Airport on July 9, 2026, and its airport code changed from PBI to DJT on August 18, 2026. Airline apps and older tickets may still show PBI; both refer to the same airport in West Palm Beach, about 3 miles west of the Intracoastal Waterway. The airport has one terminal with Concourses A, B and C. Pre-arranged ground transportation is organised from Level 1, the baggage claim level, and only decaled, authorised operators may collect passengers, which is how our affiliates work. Curbside pickup at the designated pre-arranged area is the standard service. A name-board meet at baggage claim is an add-on, and add-ons are only available in selected locations. Drive times from the airport:
- Worth Avenue and the Royal Poinciana Way area: 12 to 20 minutes.
- The Breakers: 15 to 20 minutes.
- Downtown West Palm Beach, Clematis Street and Rosemary Square: 10 to 15 minutes.
- South Palm Beach and Manalapan: 20 to 30 minutes.
- Wellington: 20 to 30 minutes.
- Palm Beach Gardens and Jupiter: 25 to 40 minutes.
Private jets and FBOs
A large share of Palm Beach arrivals come by private aircraft, especially from November to April. The airport's FBOs include Signature, Atlantic and Jet Aviation, and the chauffeur meets the aircraft once the FBO approves the vehicle on the ramp. Other airports for Palm Beach visitors
Many international travellers land at Fort Lauderdale or Miami. Fort Lauderdale (FLL) is about 50 miles south, typically 55 to 85 minutes on I-95. Miami International is about 70 miles, typically 75 to 120 minutes. On a weekday afternoon, Florida's Turnpike can be steadier than I-95; the chauffeur chooses on the day, and the fare stays fixed.
Palm Beach, West Palm Beach and the county: who goes where
The Town of Palm Beach is a barrier island of about 16 miles, linked to the mainland by three bridges. The main destinations:
- Worth Avenue. The shopping street at the island's centre, with Via Mizner and the smaller vias behind it.
- Royal Poinciana Way and the North End. The Colony, the Brazilian Court and The Breakers are nearby; residences continue north along North Ocean Boulevard.
- The South End. Condominiums, the Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach and, over the town line, Eau Palm Beach in Manalapan.
- West Palm Beach. Clematis Street, Flagler Drive, Rosemary Square, The Ben hotel, the Hilton West Palm Beach, the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts, the Norton Museum of Art and the Palm Beach County Convention Center.
- Wellington. The equestrian capital, home to Wellington International and the International Polo Club Palm Beach.
- Palm Beach Gardens and Jupiter. PGA National, golf communities and marinas to the north.

Season and the annual calendar
Palm Beach runs on "Season", roughly November through April, and demand for cars follows it. Events that usually fill the calendar:
- December: The Palm Beach Food & Wine Festival, usually in December.
- January to March: The Winter Equestrian Festival at Wellington International runs for about three months.
- January to April: The polo season at the International Polo Club Palm Beach, ending with the U.S. Open Polo Championship, usually in April.
- February: Art and antiques fairs at the Palm Beach County Convention Center, usually around Presidents' Day weekend.
- Late February or early March: The PGA Tour event at PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens.
- March: The Palm Beach International Boat Show on the West Palm Beach waterfront.

Brightline, Tri-Rail and Amtrak
Brightline's West Palm Beach station is downtown, about 10 minutes from the island, with trains to Boca Raton, Fort Lauderdale, Aventura and Miami (roughly an hour and a quarter to Miami) and north to Orlando International Airport. Tri-Rail commuter trains and Amtrak's Silver Service share the West Palm Beach station on Tamarind Avenue. A chauffeur can meet any of these trains; add the train number in the booking notes. Cruise departures from Palm Beach
The small Port of Palm Beach in Riviera Beach handles a short Bahamas service, but most cruise passengers from Palm Beach sail from Fort Lauderdale or Miami. Port Everglades is about 50 miles away, usually 55 to 80 minutes; PortMiami is about 75 miles, usually 80 to 120 minutes. On embarkation mornings, build in time for the terminal queues. Local driving: bridges, turnpike tolls and closures
Cars drive on the right. Three bridges carry traffic onto the island: the Flagler Memorial Bridge in the north, the Royal Park Bridge at Okeechobee Boulevard and the Southern Boulevard Bridge. Drawbridges open for boats, so a crossing can pause for several minutes. When the president is in residence at Mar-a-Lago, security closures around Southern Boulevard and South Ocean Boulevard can divert traffic at short notice; the chauffeur reroutes and the fare is unchanged. Florida's Turnpike and some express lanes are tolled electronically through SunPass or toll-by-plate. Road information is published by the Florida Department of Transportation.
International arrivals and customs
The Palm Beach airport has a federal inspection facility for its limited international schedule, and private aircraft arriving from abroad clear U.S. Customs and Border Protection there by prior arrangement through the FBO. Many travellers from Europe, Latin America and Canada connect through Miami or Fort Lauderdale instead. Visitors need a passport and a U.S. visa or approved ESTA, depending on nationality.
