Italy has two big intercontinental hubs and a dense network of regional airports. Classic intercity legs

Italy's high-speed trains link Rome, Florence, Bologna, Milan and Naples in one to three hours, so on those corridors the chauffeur's role is usually the first and last mile: station to hotel, or station to a villa in the Chianti hills that no train reaches. The Venice Film Festival takes place on the Lido from late August into early September, and the Italian Grand Prix at Monza is usually held in September. Easter week in Rome and the Palio di Siena on 2 July and 16 August draw heavy crowds. August holidays (Ferragosto, 15 August) jam the coastal roads.
