Chauffeur service across Mexico: airports and arrival procedure

Mexico City's Benito Juarez International Airport has two terminals, T1 and T2, linked by an airside train for connecting passengers, and the newer Felipe Angeles International Airport about 45 km north handles a growing number of domestic and some international flights. Cancun International operates several terminals, with most long-haul flights using T3 and T4. Keep the stamp or record for departure. Private flights into Toluca and Los Cabos clear customs at the general aviation terminals.

Intercity and resort drives in Mexico

Toll highways (cuotas) run alongside free roads (libres) on most major corridors, and the toll roads are usually faster and better maintained.

Book one-way runs as intercity transfers. Cruise passengers docking at Cozumel can arrange a car from the pier. In Cancun, the hotel zone is a single boulevard along a barrier island, so evening traffic on Kukulcan Boulevard slows sharply at weekends and late restaurant pickups need extra time.

Road rules, air-quality limits and the Mexican year

Mexico drives on the right. Mexico City and the surrounding metropolitan area run the Hoy No Circula programme, which keeps certain vehicles off the road one weekday a month or more depending on plate and emissions hologram, and it can widen during air-quality contingencies in the dry season. Traffic on the Periferico and Viaducto is heavy at most hours. Speed bumps (topes) are common in towns, and night driving on rural roads is best left to experienced local chauffeurs. The Atlantic and Pacific hurricane seasons run from June to November and can close coastal roads for a day or two.

Which vehicle class suits Mexican trips
