To drive with BlaakLane.com, a licensed and insured operator registers online, sends eight documents and signs the affiliate agreement. Owner-operators, limousine companies, fleet owners, coach operators and armoured transport providers in any of our 500 cities can apply. Trips come from the 24/7 reservations and dispatch desk in Toronto as written job sheets. Membership is $30 a month ($360 a year) for owner-operators and $50 a month ($600 a year) for limousine companies and fleet owners, plus a one-time $14.95 setup fee, billed through secure checkout.
What is the BlaakLane.com chauffeur affiliate network?
BlaakLane.com sells luxury chauffeur, black car and limousine trips in 500 cities across about 119 countries. Passengers book on the reservation engine, see a fixed fare for their address, date, time and vehicle before they confirm, and are looked after by a single reservations and dispatch desk in Toronto that is staffed around the clock. Outside our home dispatch area, each trip is driven by a vetted local affiliate: an independent operator who has registered, passed our document checks and signed an agreement that commits them to the BlaakLane.com written standard.
The network sits within the wider LimousineWorldwide.Directory community of chauffeured-transportation operators, and the standard follows the principles promoted by LimousineAssociation.International. Affiliates are not franchisees. Every affiliate is a professional chauffeur business licensed where it operates, such as a private hire operator licensed by Transport for London or a base licensed by the NYC Taxi and Limousine Commission. You keep your company, your vehicles and your own clients. When you drive for us, the passenger's confirmation names your company and your chauffeur, so the traveller knows exactly who will meet them.
For passengers, the affiliate network is what lets one account behave the same way in Chicago, Paris, Dubai or Singapore. For an operator, it is a source of pre-booked work in which the client relationship, billing, customer service and after-hours support are handled by our desk, and your job is to drive the trip well.
Why do operators join the BlaakLane.com affiliate network?
- Every trip is written down. Offers arrive as a job sheet with the passenger name, pickup address or flight number, vehicle class, timing, stops and special instructions. Nothing depends on a phone call nobody can find later.
- No selling and no collecting. The passenger or their company pays BlaakLane.com. You drive, close the job and are paid under the affiliate agreement, so there is no card terminal in the rear cabin and no invoice to chase from a stranger.
- Work matched to a luxury vehicle. The reservation engine sells Luxury Executive Sedans, executive SUVs, Sprinters, stretch limousines, Rolls-Royce and Bentley, armoured vehicles and coaches, so a well-kept car is offered to a passenger who booked that class.
- You choose what to accept. Offers can be accepted or declined. An owner-operator with a regular client that morning simply declines the clash.
- A live dispatcher at 3 a.m. When a flight diverts or a passenger changes the pickup, there is a person at the Toronto desk to call, every hour of the year.
- A simple monthly membership. $30 a month or $360 a year for owner-operators and $50 a month or $600 a year for limousine companies and fleet owners, plus a one-time $14.95 setup fee, paid by card through secure checkout. You can cancel at any time before the next billing date.
We make no promise about the number of trips or the income an affiliate will see. The work offered in any city depends on the season, the classes you supply, how quickly you answer offers and how consistently your trips are driven to the standard.
Who can drive with BlaakLane.com?
Five kinds of operator can register. Each must hold whatever licence the city, state, province or country requires to carry passengers for hire.
| Partner type | Typical set-up | Work usually offered |
|---|---|---|
| Owner-operator | One chauffeur who owns and drives one luxury vehicle | Airport transfers, executive point-to-point, hourly as-directed days |
| Limousine company | A licensed operator with several vehicles and employed or contracted chauffeurs | Single transfers through to multi-car event days |
| Fleet owner | Vehicles and chauffeurs run as a business, sometimes in several cities | Sedans, SUVs and vans for corporate programmes and airline crews |
| Coach operator | Minicoaches and motorcoaches with licensed coach drivers | Ship crew changes, conferences, tour groups, airport charters |
| Armoured or security provider | Certified armoured vehicles and security-trained drivers | Principal movement after a written risk assessment |
Independent chauffeurs should start with owner-operator work. Companies, fleet owners, coach operators and security providers should read limousine companies and fleet owners.
What do affiliate trips look like?
Affiliates drive the same trips passengers book on every BlaakLane.com page, only locally:
- Airport transfers. Arrivals and departures with flight tracking, so the chauffeur is timed to the actual landing rather than the schedule. The standard pickup is curbside at the airport's designated commercial or pre-arranged pickup area. Meet and greet in the arrivals hall with a name board is an add-on, and add-ons are only available in selected locations. See airport transfers.
- Corporate travel. Executives between hotel, office and airport, hourly as-directed days and client visits, often booked through a corporate account with cost centres and a named coordinator.
- Airline and shipping crews. Crew hotel runs and ship crew changes, usually in vans, Sprinters or coaches. See airline crew transportation and shipping crew change logistics.
- Cruise passengers. Pier to airport and hotel to pier on embarkation and disembarkation days, when luggage space and timing decide the vehicle. See cruise lines and ports.
- Events. Conferences, galas, weddings, sporting weekends and launches with several vehicles on one programme. See event transportation.
- VIP and private clients. Principals, family offices and public figures who expect the right car, a quiet cabin and a chauffeur who never discusses the trip. See VIP chauffeur service.
Crew changes, roadshows, delegations, armoured work, coaches and multi-vehicle programmes are planned by a coordinator and confirmed in writing before any affiliate vehicle is committed to them.
Which vehicles can affiliates offer?
Affiliates supply the nine classes passengers see on the fleet page: Standard Sedan, Luxury Executive Sedan, executive SUV, Standard Black SUV, Sprinter Van, stretch limousine, Rolls-Royce/Maybach/Bentley, armoured SUV and sedan, and minicoach or motorcoach. The age rule is short: every vehicle must be 4 model years old or younger, and only Rolls-Royce, Maybach and Bentley are accepted up to 7. Each car must be dark, unbranded, spotless inside and licensed and insured for hire. Example models, seats and the standard for each class are listed on vehicles affiliates can offer.
Which documents do you need to join?
There are eight, and the documents page shows a sample image of each one so you know what we are looking for:
- Operating or passenger-for-hire licence
- Chauffeur driving licence and for-hire permit, for every chauffeur
- Commercial passenger insurance certificate
- Vehicle registration, for every vehicle
- Vehicle inspection or safety certificate
- Background check or police clearance, for every chauffeur
- Business registration
- Bank details for payment
Photographs of each vehicle and of each chauffeur in uniform are requested at the same time. Nothing sent should be expired or due to expire within the next 30 days.
How does registration work?
Registration has five steps:
- Register online. Complete the registration form with your details, the cities and airports you cover, your vehicle and chauffeur numbers and the classes you can supply. It takes about five minutes.
- Send your documents. Email the eight documents and the photos. A partner manager checks each one and looks the licence up on the issuing authority's public register wherever such a register exists.
- Vehicle check. Photos are compared with the registration and inspection papers, and in some cities the vehicle is also seen in person.
- Sign the agreement. You receive the affiliate agreement, the written standard and the rate card for your city, and sign once you are comfortable with them.
- Onboarding and first trips. A short call covers job sheets, the dispatch app, signage, waiting and payment. A coordinator follows your first trips closely before you join the regular rotation.
Once every document is in, the review usually takes two to five working days. Missing or blurred documents are the most common cause of delay.
What standard do affiliates work to?
The affiliate standards page sets out the rules in full: licensing, insurance, the vehicle age rule, vehicle presentation, dress code, conduct, meet-and-greet signage, waiting, communication, passenger no-shows, confidentiality, performance reviews and removal from the network. Passenger safety principles are summarised on our safety page. The standard is written so that a passenger landing in an unfamiliar city receives the same experience they had at home.
How are jobs offered and paid?
Jobs are offered through the dispatch app, by email or as job sheets, each with an acceptance window. Every city has a rate card that sets what the affiliate receives for transfers, hourly work, waiting and extras. Payment terms are set out in the affiliate agreement, typically weekly or bi-weekly bank transfer, and the full picture is on how partner work is offered and paid.
What passengers are promised, and what it means for the chauffeur
Everything we promise a passenger becomes something the affiliate delivers:
- A fixed fare. Passengers see the fixed fare before they book. Chauffeurs never name a price, never ask for cash and never add a charge in the car.
- Flight tracking. The chauffeur works from the tracked landing time on the job sheet, not the timetable.
- Included waiting. Sixty minutes from actual landing on international arrivals, thirty on domestic flights and fifteen on other pickups. After that, waiting runs in 15-minute blocks that must be logged with dispatch.
- Curbside as standard. Unless meet and greet is on the job sheet, the pickup is at the designated commercial pickup area, not inside the terminal.
- Child seats. Offered free on request in most cities. Affiliates who can supply child seats should say so when they register.
- Clear cancellation rules. Passengers pay nothing when they cancel more than 72 hours ahead, 10% at 72 hours or less, 50% at 48 hours or less and 100% at 24 hours or less or on a no-show.
Where is the network looking for partners?
Registrations are welcome in all 500 cities we serve, and especially from operators with permits or regular work at airports, private aviation terminals and FBOs, cruise ports and train stations. If you also cover towns, resorts or airports outside our list, say so on the form. Coverage beyond a single city is useful for intercity transfers and for crew and delegation work that starts in one place and finishes in another.
What stays yours when you join?
Your company name, your licence, your vehicles, your chauffeurs and your own customer base all stay with you. The vehicle stays unbranded: we do not ask you to carry our name, a roof sign or a decal. The one condition is courtesy to the network: a passenger you meet on a BlaakLane.com trip is not approached for private work, and business cards are not handed out in the car. That rule protects the confidentiality our corporate and private clients rely on.
