FBO door or planeside
The standard pickup is at the FBO's landside door. Planeside pickup is possible at some FBOs, but only when the FBO and the aircraft operator approve ramp access and the airport's airside rules allow it on the day. We request it on your behalf. It is not guaranteed.
Border and customs
International private flights clear UK Border Force and customs through the FBO. Passengers bring their passports and any visa or Electronic Travel Authorisation their nationality needs. The chauffeur is timed to the actual landing; included waiting is 60 minutes on international arrivals and 30 minutes on domestic flights, then 15-minute blocks. The Stansted Express train runs to Liverpool Street in under an hour, but it leaves from the main terminal, not the FBO. For door-to-door travel with luggage, the car is simpler. Central London has the Congestion Charge in set hours, and the Ultra Low Emission Zone covers all boroughs.
Racing, bloodstock and Cambridge
Stansted is the nearest large airfield to Newmarket, the home of British flat racing, where the Tattersalls bloodstock sales run in several sessions through the year, the biggest in October. Owners, trainers and buyers fly in for the sales and the racing, then move between studs, the sales ring and Cambridge colleges. An hourly chauffeur with a three-hour minimum suits those days. For Cambridge meetings, the drive is typically under 50 minutes.

Departures and late-night returns
Book the outbound car with the wheels-up time and the FBO in the notes. From the City, 75 minutes on a weekday afternoon is a sensible allowance; from Mayfair, give it closer to two hours at peak, because central London traffic sets the pace before the M11 does. For a late-night departure after dinner in town, the drive is quicker, often under an hour. The chauffeur drops you at the FBO's landside entrance, where the handler takes over the bags.
Large-cabin jets and delegations
Stansted's long runway attracts heavy business jets and converted airliners carrying delegations, sports teams and corporate groups.
