Westchester County Airport sits in the Town of Harrison and neighbouring Rye Brook, right on the New York and Connecticut border, a few minutes from Greenwich. The county owns it. Is planeside pickup possible at Westchester?
It depends entirely on the FBO and the aircraft operator. When both approve ramp access for that vehicle and chauffeur, the car can meet the aircraft; when either declines, the chauffeur waits at the FBO door and line staff bring bags through. We ask for planeside access when you request it and confirm the answer in writing before the day. We never promise it in advance.
Customs and documents for international arrivals

Parkways, low bridges and larger vehicles
Westchester's parkways, including the Hutchinson River, Saw Mill River and Bronx River, are closed to commercial vehicles and are known for low stone bridges. Larger vehicles such as Sprinter Vans and party buses therefore use I-95, I-287 and I-684 instead, which can change the route and the time. Sedans and SUVs may use the faster road where rules allow. The chauffeur already knows this; we mention it so the planned time makes sense.
Choosing the right vehicle at HPN
For one or two executives going into the city, a Luxury Executive Sedan or the Executive First Class Sedan (Maybach) is the usual pick, each with room for two bags. Families heading to Connecticut with suitcases and golf bags take the Executive Black SUV or Standard Black SUV, six passengers and six bags. The fixed fare covers the car and chauffeur on the route you booked and does not rise with traffic on the Cross Bronx. Included waiting is 60 minutes from an international arrival and 30 from a domestic one, then 15-minute blocks.
