Zurich Airport (ZRH) is in Kloten, about 12 km north of the city centre, and is operated by Flughafen Zürich AG. Jet Aviation and ExecuJet at ZRH
Jet Aviation and ExecuJet both operate FBO facilities at Zurich. The two have separate buildings and entrances, so the handler's name in the booking notes decides where the car waits. If your broker switches handler at short notice, update the reservation or call the desk.
FBO door or aircraft side
The standard meeting point is the FBO's landside entrance, with the chauffeur outside the lounge. Driving to the aircraft is possible only when the FBO and the aircraft operator approve ramp access and the airport's airside rules allow that vehicle on the day. We request it whenever you ask. It is never guaranteed.
Night restrictions and slots
Zurich has strict night rules: scheduled movements stop late in the evening and do not resume until early morning, and business aviation is limited further. Private flights also need airport slots. If your crew cannot secure a slot, or the flight slips past the night cut-off, the aircraft may divert to Basel or another field. Border control and Swiss customs
Switzerland is in Schengen but outside the EU customs union. Passengers from non-Schengen origins show passports at the FBO, and anyone carrying goods above the duty-free allowances, or cash over the threshold, declares them to the Federal Office for Customs and Border Security. The World Economic Forum's annual meeting is usually held in Davos in January, and ZRH takes most of the private and government aircraft.
