Central Milan has Area C, a charged restricted-traffic zone around the historic centre on weekdays, and a wider low-emission zone. Area C is not part of the fixed fare: when a drop inside the zone triggers the charge, it is billed at actual cost and added to the booking. Milan's busy weeks

Winter trips to the Dolomites and Valtellina
Linate is also a starting point for the mountains. For those runs, book an SUV, list the ski equipment in the notes and allow for winter tyre rules and snow on the passes.
