One terminal close to the city
Linate has a single passenger terminal, rebuilt and extended between 2019 and 2021. The M4 metro to the centre
The blue M4 metro line now runs from Linate through San Babila to the city's west side, taking about 12-15 minutes to San Babila. Timetables are on ATM Milano. Linate or Malpensa?
Linate is the city airport for short-haul flights; Malpensa is 50 km north-west and handles most long-haul routes. If you are connecting between them, allow 50-70 minutes by car. For rail travellers, Milano Centrale is 20-35 minutes from Linate.
Arriving on a business day trip
Linate's short runway-to-kerb time makes it popular for single-day meetings: fly in on the first shuttle from Rome, London City or Paris, spend the day at Porta Nuova or CityLife, and fly home in the evening.
