Olbia Costa Smeralda Airport sits just south-west of the town of Olbia on Sardinia's north-east coast, and is managed by GEASAR. It is the gateway to the Costa Smeralda, the stretch of coves and resorts between Porto Rotondo and Porto Cervo. Private aviation is a large part of its traffic: around 15,000 business flights a year, most of them between late May and early October, when more than 120 large aircraft can be parked on the 10-hectare private apron at once.

Eccelsa Aviation: the only FBO
Eccelsa Aviation, set up by GEASAR in 2007, is the certified FBO at Olbia. Its terminal is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and has a business lounge, shops and a restaurant. Because every private passenger passes through the same building, the pickup point is simple: the landside entrance of the Eccelsa terminal.
Planeside meetings
Guests sometimes want the car at the aircraft stairs. That is possible only when Eccelsa and the aircraft operator both approve ramp access and the airport's airside rules allow it on the day. On a busy August Saturday, with the apron full, approval is less likely. We request it on request; we do not guarantee it.
Arriving from outside Schengen
Italy is a Schengen country. Flights from London, the Gulf or the United States clear border police and customs at the Eccelsa terminal; flights from Paris, Nice or Milan normally do not need passport checks. On a peak Friday, when many jets arrive within an hour, allow extra time. The chauffeur tracks the flight and is timed to the actual landing, with 60 minutes of included waiting on international arrivals and 30 minutes on domestic Italian flights, then 15-minute blocks.

The roads north into the Costa Smeralda are two-lane and winding, and in July and August traffic around Arzachena and Porto Cervo slows everything. Evening rush toward the Porto Cervo piazzetta is a known bottleneck.
Yachts and the marinas
A large share of Olbia arrivals go straight to a boat at Marina di Porto Cervo, Porto Rotondo or the Olbia yacht berths. Give us the berth or tender pickup and a crew contact. The chauffeur follows the marina's vehicle rules and helps with luggage to the handover point. The Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup, organised by the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda, is usually held in Porto Cervo in September and fills the marina.

The Luxury Stretch Limo and Party Bus are on the booker for evening events; some villa tracks are unpaved and too narrow for them. If the group has more bags than seats, book a second SUV for luggage.
Villas and gated estates
Many Costa Smeralda villas sit on private roads with gates, guards or steep final tracks. Put the villa name, the gate code or guard contact and any access notes in the booking. The chauffeur calls ahead from the car.
Discretion in high season
Paparazzi work the Porto Cervo waterfront in summer. The chauffeur carries no name board unless requested, uses the name in the booking notes and never photographs guests, aircraft or yachts. For clients who need protection, secure transportation is available on request through vetted partners and confirmed in writing.
Fare and cancellation
The fixed fare includes the car, chauffeur, flight tracking and included waiting. There is no meter and no August surge. After the included waiting, time is charged in 15-minute blocks. A car for the stay
Beach clubs, dinners in San Pantaleo and a day at the Pevero golf course suit hourly chauffeur service, with a three-hour minimum. For a week of events, weddings or a family programme, a coordinator plans the vehicles and confirms them in writing.
Flying home
For departures, give the chauffeur the wheels-up time. From Porto Cervo, allow at least an hour on a summer afternoon. The car drops at the Eccelsa terminal's landside entrance, where the handling team takes the bags.
