Göteborg Landvetter Airport (GOT)
Landvetter is about 25 km east of the city centre on Route 40, a 20 to 30 minute drive to Avenyn or the Nordstaden hotels in normal traffic. It has one terminal, with domestic and international arrivals on the same level. The chauffeur waits at the airport's designated pickup area for pre-booked cars and sends the exact position after you land. Meeting you inside arrivals with a name board is an add-on; add-ons are only available in selected locations.

Gothenburg's congestion tax, explained
Gothenburg charges a congestion tax on vehicles passing its control points on weekdays between 06:00 and 18:29. The rate depends on the time of day, from SEK 9 in quieter hours to SEK 22 in the morning and afternoon peaks, capped at SEK 60 per vehicle per day, and several passages within 60 minutes count once. There is no charge at weekends, on public holidays and the day before them, or during July. Rates are set by the Swedish Transport Agency. For you it is simple: any congestion tax the car incurs on your route is billed at actual cost and added to the booking, never collected in the car.
Göteborg Central, ferries and cruise calls
Göteborg Central is the main rail station, with SJ trains to Stockholm in about 3 hours and services to Oslo and Copenhagen. The chauffeur meets you at the station's drop-off and pickup area on the Drottningtorget side. Stena Line sails from two city terminals, one for Frederikshavn in Denmark and one for Kiel in Germany, and the car meets foot passengers at the terminal door. - Mölndal, south of the centre, home to pharmaceutical and technology offices.

Driving in and around the city
Sweden drives on the right. Trams run on many central streets and have priority, the Hisingen bridges and tunnels carry most cross-river traffic, and the E6 and E45 along the river are the pinch points at rush hour. Headlights are required at all times and winter tyres are mandatory in wintry conditions from December to March. The chauffeur plans the route, and your fare stays fixed whatever the traffic.

Entry to Sweden for non-EU travellers
Sweden is in the EU and Schengen. Non-EU nationals on short stays now enrol their fingerprints and photo in the Entry/Exit System at their first Schengen border, which may be Landvetter or a hub further south. ETIAS pre-travel authorisation is not yet in force as of September 2026.
Cancellation policy
A Gothenburg booking cancelled over 72 hours before pickup costs nothing. The charge is 10% at 72 hours or less, 50% at 48 hours or less, and 100% at 24 hours or less or if you do not show.
