Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 at Los Cabos
SJD is operated by Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico and sits about 13 km north of San Jose del Cabo. It has two passenger terminals:
- Terminal 2 handles most international flights, particularly from the United States and Canada.
- Terminal 1 handles domestic flights and some international services.

Leaving the terminal: the pickup area
After customs you walk through a hall where timeshare and activity sellers offer transport and tours. Keep walking; your transfer is already booked. No rail, few buses
Los Cabos has no train. Public buses run from San Jose del Cabo into town and along the corridor, but not conveniently from the terminals with luggage. Nearly every visitor leaves the airport by car, which is why pre-booking and knowing your operator's name matters here.

What the fare includes
The fixed fare covers the vehicle, the chauffeur and included waiting, and child seats are free when requested. SJD access charges and gratuity are charged separately at actual cost and added to the booking. There is no charge for a delayed flight. Cancel more than 72 hours ahead at no charge; within 72 hours the fee is 10%, within 48 hours 50%, and within 24 hours or on a no-show 100%.
Season, weather and events
Peak season runs from December to April, with the heaviest arrivals around Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year, spring break and Easter. Whale-watching season runs roughly from December to March. Timing the return to SJD
Resort checkout and airport lines both take longer in high season. From Cabo San Lucas or Pedregal, leave about three hours before an international flight; from San Jose del Cabo or Puerto Los Cabos, two and a half hours is usually enough. Saturday and Sunday late mornings are the busiest times at Terminal 2 check-in and security. Book the departure pickup at the same time as the arrival, and enter the terminal for your airline so the chauffeur uses the right curb.
Resort gates and villa access
Many Los Cabos resorts and villa communities, especially in Pedregal, Palmilla and Puerto Los Cabos, have gated entrances with guard checks. Add the villa number, community name and guest name to your booking notes so the chauffeur can pass the gate without delay.
