Which terminal will you arrive at?
Frankfurt has three passenger terminals, and they are not close together:
- Terminal 1, the original building, with concourses A, B, C and Z. Lufthansa and most Star Alliance partners are here.
- Terminal 2, with concourses D and E, used by many oneworld, SkyTeam and other international airlines.
- Terminal 3, Fraport's new terminal on the southern side of the airport, which came into service in 2026 with its own road access. Airlines move into it in phases.
Terminals 1 and 2 are linked by the SkyLine people mover and a bus; Terminal 3 is reached by a separate road and the airport's transit link. Because terminal allocations change, check the terminal on your booking confirmation from the airline. The chauffeur is guided by your flight number.
Where is the pickup point at FRA?

Passport control and customs timing
Germany is in the Schengen area. Passengers from outside Schengen pass German Federal Police border control, where the EU Entry/Exit System is now in use and first-time non-EU visitors may be asked for fingerprints and a photo. ETIAS is not running yet. Typical door-to-kerb times are 30-60 minutes from a long-haul arrival and 15-30 minutes from a Schengen flight with hand luggage. The chauffeur's clock starts at the actual touchdown, and the 60 minutes of included waiting on international flights usually covers the formalities. Domestic German flights include 30 minutes.

On the days of large fairs such as the Frankfurt Book Fair, usually in October, or the Motor Show and Light + Building cycles, allow extra time around the Messe. Frankfurt has a low-emission zone that requires a green sticker; affiliate vehicles meet this as a matter of local law.

What the price covers
The fare you accept includes the vehicle, the chauffeur, flight monitoring and included waiting; a gratuity, if given, is charged at actual cost and added to the Frankfurt booking. Should you take the S-Bahn or ICE instead?
FRA has two stations at Terminal 1. The Regionalbahnhof below Terminal 1 serves S-Bahn lines S8 and S9, reaching Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof in about 12-15 minutes. The long-distance Fernbahnhof, linked to Terminal 1 by a walkway, has ICE trains to Cologne in under an hour, as well as Stuttgart, Munich and other cities. Check Deutsche Bahn for times. Trains are hard to beat for a solo traveller heading to the main station. A car is the better choice for Eschborn, Bad Homburg, Taunus villages, trade-fair halls with equipment, families, and anyone arriving at Terminal 2 or 3, which are further from the stations. Transit passengers and short layovers
Frankfurt is a major Lufthansa hub, and many travellers have a layover long enough to leave the airport for a meeting in the Bankenviertel. With six hours or more, a round trip by car is realistic: 20 minutes each way plus border control on the return. Book it as hourly hire, minimum 3 hours, so the chauffeur waits outside the meeting and brings you back.
Departures from FRA
For flights within Schengen, arriving 90 minutes to two hours before departure is usual; for intercontinental flights, allow three hours in busy periods. Tell the booker your airline and it will route the chauffeur to the correct departures kerb, which matters here because Terminal 3 has a separate approach road.

Airport hotels, The Squaire and Gateway Gardens
Many Frankfurt meetings never leave the airport area. The Squaire, the long office and hotel building above the long-distance station, houses two Hilton hotels and corporate offices, and the Sheraton is linked to Terminal 1. Gateway Gardens, a business district on the former US base next to the airport, has offices, several hotels and its own S-Bahn stop. Trips between these addresses and the terminals take 5-15 minutes by car, and they are booked like any other transfer, with a fixed fare. For a day of meetings split between Gateway Gardens, Eschborn and the Bankenviertel, hourly hire keeps one car and chauffeur with you. Travellers staying at the airport hotels for an early flight can book the short hop to Terminal 2 or Terminal 3, which is further than it looks on the map because of the airport road layout.
