Terminal 1 and Terminal 2
SAN has a single runway on the edge of San Diego Bay and two terminals along North Harbor Drive.

Is there rail service at the airport?
Not directly. The free San Diego Flyer shuttle runs from both terminals to the Old Town Transit Center, where you can take the Trolley, the Coaster commuter train or Amtrak's Pacific Surfliner. San Diego MTS runs the Route 992 bus from the terminals to downtown and the Santa Fe Depot. These options work for a light traveller; for a family with bags or a North County resort, a pre-booked car is usually the simpler choice.

A large share of SAN's weekday traffic is scientific and military.
