The YWG terminal
The current terminal opened in 2011, designed by Pelli Clarke Pelli with Stantec, and replaced a 1960s building. It has one baggage claim hall for domestic, transborder and international arrivals, and US-bound flights leave through US preclearance. The airport is operated by the Winnipeg Airports Authority, whose official site posts ground transportation and parking rules. YWG is also the southern hub for northern Manitoba flights, including service to Churchill.
Pickup at Winnipeg airport

Business districts and venues
Most corporate trips from YWG end in one of three places: the towers around Portage and Main and True North Square, the Exchange District's converted warehouses, or the business parks near Polo Park and the airport itself. The RBC Convention Centre and Canada Life Centre are a few blocks apart downtown, which makes one drop-off serve both. Out of the centre, IG Field at the University of Manitoba hosts Blue Bombers football from June to autumn, and Assiniboine Park, with its zoo and the Journey to Churchill exhibit, sits about 15-20 minutes from the terminal. A three-hour hourly chauffeur covers a morning of site visits across the city.

Festival du Voyageur fills St. Boniface in February, the Winnipeg Folk Festival takes over Birds Hill Park in July, and Folklorama runs pavilions across the city in August. Churchill and northern connections
