Government, Wascana Centre and downtown

Rail and getting around
Regina has no passenger rail service. VIA Rail's transcontinental Canadian stopped using the southern route through Regina in 1990 and now runs through Saskatoon, so most visitors arrive by air or road. Regina Transit buses cover the city, but a car is the norm for business travel.
Driving in Regina: roads, weather and clocks
Driving is on the right and there are no tolls. The Regina Bypass, opened in 2019, carries Highway 1 around the south and east sides of the city and connects with Highway 11 and Highway 6. Rush hours are short, roughly 7:30 to 8:45 and 16:15 to 17:30, and most in-city trips take under 20 minutes. Winters are cold and windy, with blowing snow that can close highways; check conditions on the Saskatchewan Highway Hotline. Like the rest of the province, Regina stays on Central Standard Time all year and does not change its clocks.
