From Toronto Pearson: the main gateway
Most long-haul visitors arrive at Toronto Pearson, about 130 km from the Falls. The route follows Highway 427 or 403 to the QEW, around the west end of Lake Ontario through Hamilton and the Niagara Peninsula, and usually takes 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 45 minutes; Friday afternoons in summer and the Burlington Skyway can add more. Pearson uses a pre-arranged pickup process: you check in at the pre-arranged point in Terminal 1 or Terminal 3 and the chauffeur is called forward to the commercial kerb. Border crossing: what every passenger needs

The Fallsview district, Clifton Hill and the river parkway
The high-rise hotels of Fallsview, including the Sheraton Fallsview, the Marriott Fallsview and Embassy Suites, look over the Horseshoe Falls, next to Fallsview Casino Resort and its entertainment centre. Clifton Hill below is the family strip of attractions running down to the Niagara Parkway. Wine country and Niagara-on-the-Lake

Rail options
Niagara Falls station on Bridge Street is served by GO Transit trains from Toronto's Union Station and by VIA Rail and Amtrak's Maple Leaf, which continues to New York with a customs stop at the border. Train schedules are limited, so a car is usually quicker door to door, especially with luggage.

Driving notes
Driving is on the right and distances are in kilometres. The QEW is the spine of the peninsula; lake-effect snow squalls can close stretches in winter, and summer weekends bring heavy traffic into town. Parking near the falls is metered and expensive.
