Pearson is next door: routes and timing
Vaughan borders the north side of the airport district. Since the Highway 427 extension opened in September 2021, running north from Finch Avenue to Major Mackenzie Drive, Woodbridge and Kleinburg reach Toronto Pearson without the old crawl along Highway 27. Canada's Wonderland, Vaughan Mills and Kleinburg
Canada's Wonderland at Jane Street and Rutherford Road is Canada's largest amusement park. Its season usually runs from May to early autumn, with Halloween Haunt nights in September and October and WinterFest in late November and December; check the Canada's Wonderland site for current dates. Parking and gate traffic peak in the evening, so we set a pickup point a short walk from the gate and text it to you. Vaughan Mills, the outlet mall near Highway 400 and Rutherford, is a common stop for visitors. Kleinburg village is home to the McMichael Canadian Art Collection and the Binder Twine Festival, usually in September.
The Vaughan Metropolitan Centre
The VMC around Highway 7 and Jane Street is Vaughan's new downtown: office and condo towers, a regional bus terminal and the northern end of TTC Line 1, which opened at Vaughan Metropolitan Centre station in December 2017. Corporate head offices, construction and development firms and logistics businesses along Highways 400 and 407 bring steady weekday travel. With a corporate account, bookers get cost centres, traveller profiles and monthly invoicing, and managers can use hourly chauffeur service for site visits.
Hospitals, transit and rail
Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital opened on Major Mackenzie Drive in 2021. For rail, the GO Transit Barrie line stops at Rutherford and Maple, and Line 1 takes you downtown from VMC. For luggage, very early flights or a family with car seats, a booked car is simpler. Travellers catching a VIA train can be dropped at Toronto Union Station.
Local driving notes
Highway 400 between the 401 and Major Mackenzie and the 400-407 interchange are the choke points at rush hour. Summer Saturdays add cottage traffic heading north on the 400, which matters for Wonderland and Vaughan Mills runs. The 407 ETR is tolled electronically and is often the quicker line across the top of the city. In winter, the chauffeur allows extra time on the 427 and 400 after snowfall.

Hotels, offices and where the car waits
Vaughan's hotels cluster in three places: around the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre on Highway 7, near Vaughan Mills and Canada's Wonderland along Highway 400, and in the Woodbridge area near Highway 27 and the 407. Visiting executives often stay near the VMC because Line 1 and the 400 are both close. For hotel pickups the chauffeur waits at the main entrance and sends the car details by text; at a banquet hall, the car stages in the lot and moves to the door when you call.
Office parks along Highway 7, Jane Street, Keele Street and Pippin Road hold construction, engineering, food and distribution firms. A buyer or engineer flying in for a day of site visits can book the same car for the whole day, which usually works out simpler than three separate trips.
Arriving in Vaughan from abroad
Most international visitors to Vaughan land at Pearson and clear the Canada Border Services Agency in the terminal before collecting bags. Families arriving from Italy, Portugal, the Philippines or South Asia for a wedding often travel with extra luggage and gifts, so enter the bag count and choose an SUV or van. Driving in Ontario is on the right, and seat belts are required for every passenger by provincial law.
