Terminal 2 is the large building with a four-storey roof of coffered skylights and the long Jaya He art wall. Terminal 1 is on the other side of the runways; by road the two are 20 to 40 minutes apart depending on traffic. The flight number in your booking tells our system which terminal to use.
Meeting your chauffeur at BOM
The standard service is curbside pickup at the zone the airport assigns to pre-booked and app-based cars. At Terminal 2 this is reached from the arrivals level and the multi-level car park in front of the terminal. Only passengers may enter the building, so the chauffeur waits outside. When you have your bags, message the chauffeur, who will tell you the pillar or bay number.

Immigration and customs
Most foreign visitors need a visa or an e-Visa, which you can apply for on the official Indian Visa Online portal. Terminal 2's immigration hall handles large overnight banks from Europe, the Gulf and Southeast Asia, and queues are longest between about midnight and 5 a.m. Allow 40 to 75 minutes from landing to the kerb. The first 60 minutes after the actual landing are included; after that, waiting is charged in 15-minute blocks.
Drive times across Mumbai
India drives on the left. Mumbai is a long, narrow peninsula, and the time to South Mumbai depends heavily on which coastal route is flowing.

Is there a train or metro from Mumbai airport?
Mumbai Metro Line 3, the underground Aqua Line, has stations at the airport and runs south through BKC and Worli towards Colaba, and Line 1 connects Andheri with Ghatkopar. The suburban railway, famously crowded, runs from Vile Parle and Andheri stations near Terminal 1. For light travellers the metro can be quick. With suitcases, in heavy monsoon rain, or for a hotel off the line, a car is far more practical.
Which class of vehicle?
For one or two business travellers going to BKC or Lower Parel, a Standard Sedan or Luxury Executive Sedan is right. Promoters, film talent and principals often book the Executive First Class Sedan (Maybach). Families and wedding guests with heavy luggage fit the Standard Black SUV or Executive Black SUV (6 passengers, 6 bags). Production crews, delegations and study groups use the Sprinter Van (12 passengers, 12 small bags), and a roadshow team with only carry-on bags suits the Sprinter Luxury Jet Van (7). Monsoon season
The south-west monsoon usually reaches Mumbai in June and lasts into September, bringing very heavy rain, waterlogged roads and occasional flight disruption. Flight tracking keeps the chauffeur timed to your actual landing, and on heavy days the chauffeur will choose the route least affected by flooding. Allow generous time for departures during these months, and make sure your phone can receive calls, since the chauffeur may need to agree a different pickup bay if part of the forecourt is waterlogged.
Film, finance and events
Mumbai is home to India's stock exchanges, many bank headquarters and the Hindi film industry, and BKC's convention centre hosts large conferences. Financial roadshows, entertainment and touring productions and event transportation are planned by a coordinator and confirmed in writing. Private jets at Mumbai
Business aircraft at BOM use the general aviation terminal on the airfield, with separate immigration for international flights. Put the tail number and handler in the booking notes so the chauffeur can meet you at the correct gate rather than at Terminal 2.
Where business travellers usually stay
Most visitors on business stay in one of four areas. Bandra Kurla Complex, close to the airport, is the main modern business district, home to banks, consulates and the Jio World Centre. Lower Parel and Worli hold many corporate offices in converted mill land. Juhu, beside the beach in the western suburbs, suits film industry visitors. South Mumbai, around Colaba, Nariman Point and the Fort district, has the historic hotels facing the Gateway of India and the city's older financial institutions. Give the hotel name in the booking, since Mumbai chauffeurs navigate by landmarks as much as by street names.
Departing from Terminal 2
Terminal 2 is reached by the Sahar Elevated Access Road, which keeps airport traffic above the surrounding streets. Only ticketed passengers may enter the building, and security staff check your ticket and passport at the door, so the chauffeur drops you on the departures ramp. From South Mumbai, allow at least three and a half hours before an international flight in the evening peak; from BKC, two and a half to three hours is usually enough.
