Domestic allocations between Terminals 1, 2 and 3 have shifted several times in recent years as the airport has been rebuilt. Put your flight number in the booking and our system follows the terminal your airline is actually using. Terminal 1 sits on the far side of the airfield from Terminal 3, and moving between them by road takes 20 to 40 minutes.
The pickup: what to expect after you land
Standard service is curbside pickup at the area the airport designates for pre-booked and app-based cars, which at Terminal 3 is reached from the arrivals forecourt and the multi-level car park across from it. At Delhi, only passengers are allowed inside the terminal buildings, so drivers cannot wait in the arrivals hall. After immigration, customs and baggage, message or call the chauffeur, who will tell you the pillar or lane number.
If you would like someone to meet you at the arrivals exit with a name board and walk you to the car, add meet and greet. Add-ons are only available in selected locations, and the booking engine shows whether it is available for your arrival.
e-Visa, immigration and customs timing
Many nationalities can apply for an Indian e-Visa online before travel; check eligibility and apply only through the official Indian Visa Online portal. International arrivals at Terminal 3 pass immigration counters, where e-Visa holders have dedicated lines, then baggage and customs. On a normal day allow 40 to 75 minutes from touchdown to the car, and more when the large overnight bank from Europe and the Gulf lands between midnight and 4 a.m. Your included waiting is 60 minutes from the actual landing, then 15-minute blocks.

Airport Express metro or a car?
The Delhi Metro Airport Express Line (Orange Line) runs from Terminal 3 through Aerocity and Dhaula Kuan to New Delhi railway station in around 20 minutes, and it extends to Yashobhoomi in Dwarka. It is clean, air-conditioned and faster than the roads at peak hour. The problem is the last mile: from New Delhi station, most hotels are still a car or auto-rickshaw ride away, and the line does not serve Gurugram. With luggage, family members or a meeting to reach on time, a chauffeured car door to door is usually the better choice.

Dense fog between December and February can delay or divert early-morning flights and slow the roads, while summer heat from April to June is intense. Onward trips: Agra, Jaipur and beyond
The Taj Mahal at Agra is about three to four hours from the airport on the Yamuna Expressway, and Jaipur is four to six hours by road. These are booked as fixed-fare intercity transfers, or as day trips with the chauffeur waiting. State border permits for the planned route are part of the price.
Aerocity and departures from Terminal 3
Aerocity, the hospitality district beside Terminal 3, has many international hotels and is a practical base for a short layover, an early departure or a meeting close to the airport. For departures, only ticketed passengers may enter the terminal, and security staff check your ticket and passport at the door, so allow three hours before an international flight from central Delhi. The drop-off is on the departures ramp of Terminal 3, and the chauffeur cannot come inside with you.
