Terminal 3 and Terminal 1
Ben Gurion's international traffic is concentrated in Terminal 3, a large building with a long arrivals route from the gates via the Rotunda and passport control to the baggage hall. Terminal 1 handles some low-cost international flights and domestic flights, such as those to Eilat. The two terminals are a few kilometres apart by road, so the chauffeur needs the correct one.

Allow 30 to 60 minutes from landing to the car, more when several wide-body flights arrive together.

Trains from the airport and Shabbat
Ben Gurion Airport station is directly below Terminal 3. Israel Railways trains reach Tel Aviv's central stations in roughly 12 to 20 minutes, and the fast line to Jerusalem Yitzhak Navon takes around 20 to 25 minutes. Trains and most public buses do not run from Friday afternoon until Saturday evening during Shabbat, and on major Jewish holidays.
Rail is fast on a weekday for a light traveller. For Friday evening and Saturday arrivals, hotels away from the stations, or families with luggage, a pre-booked car is the reliable option.

Reaching Jerusalem hotels and the Old City
Most Jerusalem transfers go to hotels in the city centre, along King David Street near the Old City walls, or in the German Colony and Mamilla areas. Vehicles cannot drive into most of the Old City, so for guesthouses inside the walls the chauffeur drops you at the nearest accessible gate, usually Jaffa Gate, and you continue on foot. On Shabbat some religious neighbourhoods close their streets to traffic, and on Jewish holidays road closures are common around the Old City, so the chauffeur may choose an alternative approach.
