Orly 1, 2, 3 and 4 explained
Orly renamed its halls in 2019. The former West terminal became Orly 1, 2 and 3, joined by a central building, and the former South terminal became Orly 4. Orly or Charles de Gaulle?
Orly is closer to the south and west of Paris, and to Versailles; Charles de Gaulle is better placed for the north, Roissy business parks and most long-haul flights. Private flights usually use Paris Le Bourget. If you are catching a TGV south after landing, the drive to Gare de Lyon takes 30-50 minutes.
Fashion weeks, trade fairs and busy months
Paris Fashion Week usually runs in late February or early March and again in late September or early October, and demand for cars at both airports rises sharply. Trade fairs at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, just inside the city from Orly, add pressure through the year.
