PMI terminal modules explained
Palma has one large terminal building with four gate modules. The module you use affects the walk and the passport process more than the pickup point, because every module feeds into the same ground-floor arrivals area.

Where the chauffeur meets you at Palma Airport
Curbside pickup at the zone the airport designates for pre-booked private hire and VTC vehicles is the standard service. Once your bags are off the belt, contact the chauffeur, who will send the exact meeting point. The chauffeur is not inside the terminal on a standard booking.
For a name-board welcome at the arrivals exit, add meet and greet when booking. Add-ons are only available in selected locations, and the booking engine shows if it can be added at PMI.
Border control and EES timing at PMI
Flights from Germany, the Netherlands, Scandinavia and mainland Spain arrive without passport checks, and most passengers reach the curb 15 to 25 minutes after landing. Flights from the UK and other non-Schengen countries arrive into Module A, where non-EU travellers register in the EU Entry/Exit System at their first entry and pass Spanish border police. On peak summer Saturdays, when dozens of UK flights land within a few hours, allow 45 to 75 minutes to the car.

How long does it take from Palma Airport to your destination?
PMI is about 8 km east of Palma's old town, on the Ma-19 motorway. The Ma-20 ring road links it to the south-west coast and the Ma-13 runs north to Inca and Alcúdia.

Public transport alternatives on Mallorca
There is no train at the airport. The A1 bus links PMI with central Palma and the port, and other airport buses serve the Platja de Palma and resort areas; the island network is run by TIB. Mallorca's railway runs from Plaça d'Espanya in Palma to Inca, Sa Pobla and Manacor, and the historic Sóller train runs through the mountains to Sóller, but none of these start at the airport.
For a single traveller heading into Palma the bus is inexpensive. For villas, fincas and resorts outside the city, or with children and luggage, a private car is far more practical, particularly on summer Saturdays when taxi queues are long.

Mallorca is one of the Mediterranean's major superyacht bases, with Palma's marinas, Puerto Portals and Port Adriano busy through the season. Owners and guests arrive on scheduled flights or private jets, and crews rotate in and out. Cruise calls at Palma

Private jets at Palma
Business and private aviation at Palma uses a dedicated general aviation terminal away from the main building, and in high summer it is one of the busiest in the Mediterranean. Give us the handling agent and the aircraft registration or callsign when booking, and the chauffeur is directed to that terminal's landside entrance instead of the public arrivals area. Guests flying in for a yacht charter usually go straight to the marina, so enter the berth or the marina office as the drop-off. Regular operators and family offices book under private aviation and FBO, with trips confirmed in writing when several cars or luggage vans are involved.
Season and traffic on the island
The main season runs from May to October, with July and August the busiest. The Ma-1 and Ma-20 around Palma can be slow at weekends, and village centres such as Sóller, Pollença and Valldemossa restrict traffic at busy times. What the fare covers and cancellation
Your fixed fare covers the car, the chauffeur, flight tracking and the included waiting: 60 minutes after international landings and 30 minutes after flights from mainland Spain or the other Balearic Islands, then 15-minute blocks. Planning ranges are on rates. There is no charge for cancelling more than 72 hours ahead; within 72 hours it is 10 %, within 48 hours 50 %, and within 24 hours or for a no-show 100 %.
