Southwest Florida International (RSW) is the region's main airport, about 12 miles southeast of downtown Fort Myers off I-75 and Daniels Parkway. The islands and the beaches

Spring training and the season calendar

Driving in Lee County
Driving is on the right. I-75 is the spine; US-41 (Cleveland Avenue, then the Tamiami Trail) and Summerlin Road carry local traffic and congest in season. The Midpoint Memorial and Cape Coral bridges to Cape Coral and the Sanibel Causeway are tolled. Summer brings daily storms, and hurricane season runs June to November. There is no passenger rail in Fort Myers.
