SAN has two terminals, Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, both on the north side of San Diego Bay. The Village, the Shores, Bird Rock and UTC
La Jolla is a community within the City of San Diego, and its neighbourhoods behave differently for a driver. Cruise port, rail and the border
Cruise passengers board at the Port of San Diego cruise ship terminals on the downtown waterfront, about 25 minutes from La Jolla. Amtrak's Pacific Surfliner and the Coaster commuter train stop at Santa Fe Depot downtown and at Solana Beach, the nearest station for north La Jolla. The UC San Diego Blue Line trolley links UTC with downtown and San Ysidro. Driving realities on the coast
California drives on the right and there are no general road tolls around La Jolla; the only toll road in the county is SR 125 in the South Bay. Parking in the Village is scarce on summer weekends and during the Cove's sea lion and seal pupping seasons, when crowds build.
