The airport sits on a peninsula in the Beagle Channel, about 5 km southwest of the centre, and the drive to the port or downtown hotels takes 10 to 15 minutes. Scheduled flights come mainly from Buenos Aires Aeroparque and Ezeiza, about 3.5 hours, and from El Calafate, about 1 hour 15 minutes. Pre-booked cars collect at the airport's designated pickup area outside arrivals; the chauffeur confirms the position and plate by message. Waiting inside the USH terminal with a name board is an add-on; add-ons are only available in selected locations. Tierra del Fuego National Park and the train
The national park lies west of the city along Ruta 3, which ends at Bahia Lapataia, the southern end of the road that runs up through Argentina. A private half or full day covers the Lapataia bay, Lago Roca, the Ensenada Zaratiegui post office on the water and short trails among the southern beech forest.
