Bus and rail links
There is no direct train to the airport. The AirportLink bus runs from the terminals to Puhinui station, where trains continue to Britomart in the CBD. See Auckland Transport for current routes. Flights from North America, the Middle East and Asia often land in Auckland in the early morning after 11 to 17 hours in the air. Many visitors head straight out on a road trip to Rotorua, the Coromandel or Hawke's Bay rather than stay in the city.
