GCM sits on the edge of George Town, a short drive from almost everywhere on the western side of the island. After immigration and customs in the terminal, you walk out to the arrivals forecourt, where pre-arranged ground transport picks up in the designated area. Traffic drives on the left. Roads are well maintained, with frequent roundabouts on the Esterley Tibbetts Highway and the Linford Pierson Highway. Speed limits are low, commonly 25 to 40 mph, and enforced. The eastern districts are reached by a single coastal road on the south shore or across the island via Frank Sound. There are no tolls.
