Booking your Nice Airport transfer
Type "Nice Cote d'Azur (NCE)" as the pickup, then your hotel, villa or yacht berth, the flight number and the landing time. Each vehicle class shows one fixed fare, so a slow Basse Corniche on a summer evening or a Grand Prix weekend does not change the price. Book has the same engine.
Riviera trips are driven by vetted local affiliates holding French VTC registration for private hire with driver, or the equivalent Monaco authorisation where the trip starts there, and contracted to the BlaakLane.com written standard. Terminal 1 or Terminal 2 at Nice?
Nice has two terminals about 1.5 km apart along the seafront runway:
- Terminal 2 is the larger, handling most full-service and long-haul airlines, including flights from North America and the Gulf.
- Terminal 1 handles many European and low-cost carriers.
A free shuttle bus and tram line 2 connect them. The chauffeur uses your flight number to go to the right terminal, but check your ticket anyway, since airline assignments change.
Where is the chauffeur pickup at NCE?
The standard pickup is curbside at the area Nice Airport designates for pre-booked vehicles and VTC services outside arrivals at your terminal, not the taxi rank. The chauffeur does not wait in the hall by default. Add meet and greet for a name board at the arrivals exit and help with bags. Add-ons are only available in selected locations.
Border control and timing
France is part of Schengen. Passengers from outside Schengen pass French border police, where the EU Entry/Exit System is now in use for non-EU visitors, which can lengthen queues at their first entry. ETIAS has not launched. Monaco has no airport of its own; travellers to Monaco enter through Nice and there is no border check on the road between France and Monaco. Allow 25-50 minutes from landing to the kerb on a non-Schengen flight and 15-30 minutes on a Schengen one. The included wait on international flights is 60 minutes from actual landing; domestic French flights include 30.

Summer traffic along the coast is heavy, and Monaco's Grand Prix, usually in late May or June, and the Cannes Film Festival, usually in May, close roads and fill every hotel. Other busy dates include MIPIM in Cannes in March, Cannes Lions in June, and the Monaco Yacht Show, usually in September.
Choosing a vehicle on the Riviera
- Standard Sedan: two guests with two cases to a Promenade des Anglais hotel.
- Luxury Executive Sedan: an executive heading to a Monaco family office or a Sophia Antipolis campus.
- Executive First Class Sedan (Maybach): VIP arrivals for the Cap d'Antibes or Monte-Carlo.
- Standard Black SUV: families with summer luggage, six seats and six bags.
- Executive Black SUV: yacht guests and principals, with space for provisions and bags.
- Sprinter Van: wedding guests, film delegations or yacht crews, up to 12.
- Sprinter Luxury Jet Van: seven executives with carry-on bags, working on the way to Monaco.
- Luxury Stretch Limo and Party Bus: weddings and celebrations; long vehicles do not suit every corniche road.

What the fare includes
Car, chauffeur, flight tracking and the waiting allowance are in the price; gratuity and any paid parking on the Riviera are charged at actual cost and added to the booking. Child seats cost nothing extra; request them in the booking. Waiting after the allowance is charged in 15-minute blocks.
Tram, train and other options
Tram line 2 runs from both terminals to central Nice and the port in about 25-30 minutes. Regional TER trains stop at Nice Saint-Augustin, near the airport, with services along the coast to Cannes and Monaco; timetables are on SNCF TER Sud. The train is useful for light travellers, but hotels in Monaco, Cap Ferrat and Cap d'Antibes are hills and headlands away from stations. Helicopter transfers between the airport and Monaco also operate, weather permitting.
Monaco, Cannes and yacht arrivals
Most Nice arrivals are heading to Monaco, Cannes or Saint-Tropez. Yacht guests and crews can be taken to the quay at Port Hercule in Monaco or other marinas, and larger crew changes are handled through shipping crew change, planned by a coordinator and confirmed in writing.

Leaving from NCE
For a European flight, arrive about two hours before departure; for long-haul from Terminal 2, allow three hours in summer. From Monaco, a pickup around three hours before a long-haul departure is typical on a July afternoon. Drop-off is at the departures kerb of your terminal.
Events and corporate travel
The Riviera calendar drives demand: film, advertising and property festivals in Cannes, motorsport and yachting in Monaco, and technology firms at Sophia Antipolis. Event transportation covers festival and conference programmes, and corporate accounts handle invoicing and traveller profiles.
Cancellation rules
No charge for cancelling more than 72 hours before pickup. The fee is 10% from 72 hours, 50% from 48 hours, and the full fare from 24 hours before pickup or for a no-show.

Hill villages, villas and the Italian Riviera
Many Riviera stays are not on the seafront at all. Saint-Paul-de-Vence is about 25-35 minutes from the airport, Mougins 30-40 minutes and Grasse 40-50 minutes, and villas in the hills above Cannes and Cap d'Antibes are often reached by narrow lanes with electric gates. Add the gate code and any access instructions to your booking so the chauffeur can drive straight in. Some villages, such as Eze and Saint-Paul-de-Vence, are pedestrian inside the walls, so the car stops at the edge. Heading east, the Italian Riviera starts beyond Menton: Sanremo is about 50-70 minutes away, and Portofino and Genoa are longer runs of roughly 2 h 30 - 3 h 15 and 2 - 2 h 30 respectively. These cross-border trips are booked as fixed-fare intercity transfers from the terminal door.
