Burlington International Airport (BTV) to Stowe
BTV is in South Burlington, about 36 miles from Stowe village. The usual route is I-89 south to exit 10 at Waterbury, then Route 100 north for about 10 miles into the village. Plan on 45 to 60 minutes in good conditions and longer in heavy snow. The resort base areas at Mount Mansfield and Spruce Peak are another 6 to 8 miles up the Mountain Road (Route 108), roughly 10 to 15 minutes.
The airport has a single terminal. Your chauffeur meets you at the designated pickup area for pre-arranged cars outside baggage claim and sends the vehicle details when you land. A meet and greet inside the terminal with a name board is an add-on; add-ons are only available in selected locations. Stowe Mountain Resort, Spruce Peak and the Mountain Road
Stowe Mountain Resort spreads across Mount Mansfield, Vermont's highest peak at 4,393 feet, and neighbouring Spruce Peak, joined by a gondola. The Spruce Peak village holds The Lodge at Spruce Peak, a performing arts centre and slopeside residences, while the Mansfield side has the classic trails and the Toll Road that climbs to the summit ridge in summer. Which vehicle for a ski trip?
An executive SUV is the default for Stowe in winter: all-wheel drive, space for four with skis and boot bags, and good ground clearance on unploughed lodge driveways. Two travellers with light luggage can use a Luxury Executive Sedan outside the snow months. Families of five to seven fit a Standard Black SUV, and ski clubs or wedding parties take a Sprinter Van or a minicoach. Stowe through the seasons
- December to April: ski season, with holiday weeks and February school vacations the busiest. The Stowe Winter Carnival usually runs in January.
- Late September to mid-October: peak foliage, when Route 100 and the village fill with visitors. The Stowe Foliage Arts Festival is usually held in October.
- Summer: hiking, the Stowe Recreation Path, mountain biking and weddings at the lodges and barns.
- Mud season: late April and May, quieter, with some lodges closed.

Common routes include Route 100 south through Waterbury, with stops at Cold Hollow Cider Mill and the Ben & Jerry's factory, Smugglers' Notch in autumn before the road closes, and a loop to Lake Champlain and Shelburne. - To Albany and Saratoga Springs: about 3 to 3.5 hours via I-89, US-7 and Route 4 across western Vermont.

Driving realities in northern Vermont
Driving is on the right, and there are no toll roads in Vermont. Winter storms can drop heavy snow overnight, and Route 100 and the Mountain Road get busy at ski-lift opening and closing times. Moose and deer cross rural roads, especially at dusk. Cell coverage is patchy in the hills, so the chauffeur confirms pickup points in advance. Child seats are free on request.

More than 72 hours before pickup, cancellation is free. At 72 hours or less it is 10%, at 48 hours or less 50%, and at 24 hours or less or a no-show 100%. A delayed flight into BTV never counts as a no-show.
