Trains at Gare du Nord
Gare du Nord is one of the busiest railway stations in Europe.
- Eurostar: London St Pancras, Brussels-Midi, Rotterdam and Amsterdam, and Cologne via Brussels. See Eurostar.
- SNCF high speed: TGV INOUI and OUIGO trains to Lille, Arras, Valenciennes, Dunkirk and the north.
- TER Hauts-de-France regional trains, and Transilien lines H and K.
- RER B to Charles de Gaulle Airport and south through Châtelet, and RER D; the RER E stops at Magenta, linked underground.
- Métro lines 4 and 5, with line 2 at La Chapelle nearby.
Eurostar arrivals and departures
Trains from London arrive at the platforms on the left side of the main hall; passengers have already cleared French entry checks at St Pancras, so you walk off the train and out. For London departures, the Eurostar terminal is on the upper level, where French exit and UK entry controls take place. Under the EU Entry/Exit System, non-EU passport holders give fingerprints and a photo on their first crossing, which can lengthen the queue. Eurostar sets the check-in time, and we plan the drop-off accordingly.
The streets around the station and where cars stop
The great stone facade, topped with statues of French and European cities, faces Place Napoléon III and rue de Dunkerque. The taxi rank is at the side of the station, and the surrounding streets, including rue de Dunkerque, rue de Maubeuge and boulevard de Denain, carry bus lanes, cycle lanes and busy pavements. VTC cars may stop to pick up a passenger with a reservation but may not cruise or wait at the taxi rank.
The chauffeur waits nearby and pulls into a legal stop or signed pickup area close to the exit you use, then texts you the spot. Depending on works around the station and the day's traffic, that is usually on rue de Dunkerque or one of the side streets. From the Eurostar platforms, the front exit onto Place Napoléon III is the most direct.
Curbside by default, platform meet on request
A curbside pickup at the confirmed stopping point is the standard service. The chauffeur does not come to the platform unless you add meet and greet. Add-ons are only available in selected locations, and the booking engine shows whether a platform meet can be added at Gare du Nord for your train.
Following your train
Eurostar and TGV trains publish live running, and the chauffeur is timed to the actual arrival. If your train from London is held in the Channel Tunnel, the car's timing shifts with it. You have 15 minutes from arrival included in the fare; after that, waiting is billed in 15-minute blocks, priced in your booking.
Luggage
Eurostar passengers may bring two large cases each, and many do. Sedans take two passengers and two bags; the black SUVs six and six; a Sprinter Van 12 passengers with small bags. Paris hotel entrances in the 8th and 16th arrondissements are often on narrow streets, and the chauffeur handles the bags at both ends.

From Gare du Nord: Opéra and the grands boulevards, 10-20 minutes; the Golden Triangle and the Champs-Élysées, 15-30; the Marais and the Louvre, 15-25; Saint-Germain-des-Prés, 20-35; La Défense, 25-45; Porte de Versailles exhibition centre, 30-50.
