Antalya Airport (AYT): terminals and pickup
AYT, about 13 km east of the old town, is one of Turkey's busiest airports in summer. International flights use Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 and domestic flights a separate domestic terminal, so check your arrival terminal on the ticket; the chauffeur tracks it from the flight number. For Alanya, some travellers fly into Gazipasa-Alanya Airport (GZP) instead, around 40 km east of Alanya. The Kemer route follows the D400 along the coast through tunnels and can slow at weekends.
Belek: golf resorts and large hotels
Belek, east of the airport, holds most of Turkey's championship golf courses and a line of large resort hotels, among them Regnum Carya, Maxx Royal Belek and Rixos Premium Belek, plus the Land of Legends theme park. Lara, Konyaalti and the city
Lara, the beach district east of the city toward the airport, is lined with large themed resorts and is the quickest hop from AYT. Konyaalti, the long pebble beach to the west, leads toward the cruise port and the cable car up Tünektepe. The old town, Kaleiçi, sits above the Roman harbour inside the walls, with Hadrian's Gate on its edge; many streets are too narrow for vehicles, so drops happen at the gate or at the nearest point your boutique hotel allows. Business travellers heading to the Antalya Organised Industrial Zone or to meetings in the Muratpasa district often book hourly chauffeur service.
Port Akdeniz and cruise calls
Cruise ships dock at Port Akdeniz, roughly 12 km west of Kaleiçi beyond Konyaalti. The drive to the old town takes 20 to 30 minutes and to AYT 30 to 45 minutes. A Standard Black SUV takes six people with luggage, and a Sprinter Van is the standard for golf groups, incentive teams and wedding guests moving between the airport and a Lara or Belek hotel. Alanya and the eastern coast
Alanya, with its castle on a headland and long beaches, is the furthest regular resort transfer from AYT. The D400 runs east through Side and Manavgat, and in summer the stretch around Manavgat is slow. Travellers who have flights into Gazipasa-Alanya Airport (GZP) save most of the drive, but GZP has fewer routes. Villas in the hills behind Kargicak and Mahmutlar are reached by steep roads, so an SUV is sensible.
Day trips

Driving and local conditions
Turkey drives on the right. The D400 coastal highway carries resort traffic and gets heavy between Lara and Belek on changeover days. There are no tolls on resort routes. Summer temperatures often pass 35°C, so chauffeurs keep vehicles cooled and have water on board where the affiliate provides it.
Entry requirements
Most US, Canadian, UK and EU visitors currently enter Türkiye visa-free for short stays, typically up to 90 days in any 180 days. Travellers from other countries may need an e-Visa, obtained only online before departure at evisa.gov.tr. Rules change, so check yours before flying.
