Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport (BEG)
The airport is at Surcin, about 18 km west of the city centre, and is run by a concessionaire under the Belgrade Airport brand. Its terminal complex has two connected buildings, Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, with a shared landside frontage. Standard pickup is curbside at the designated pre-arranged pickup point outside Arrivals, confirmed by message once you land. A meet and greet inside the arrivals hall with a name board is an add-on; add-ons are only available in selected locations.
Every pickup is timed to the actual landing. Waiting included: 60 minutes from landing for international flights, which covers passport control and baggage, 30 minutes on domestic flights and 15 minutes on other pickups, then 15-minute blocks. Serbia is outside the EU: passports and EES
Serbia is not a member of the European Union or the Schengen area, so every arrival from abroad passes Serbian passport control, including flights from Schengen cities. Many nationalities, including EU, UK, US and Canadian citizens, can visit without a visa for short stays; confirm your own case with the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Time spent in Serbia does not count towards the Schengen 90-day limit.
The EU's Entry/Exit System matters when you continue into the EU. On a drive to Budapest or Zagreb, non-EU travellers are registered in EES at the Hungarian or Croatian border post, where fingerprints and a photo are taken the first time. ETIAS has not started yet. Border waits on summer weekends and holidays can exceed an hour, which is why cross-border trips are planned with a buffer.

New Belgrade, Stari Grad and the Waterfront
Belgrade splits across the Sava. On the old side, Stari Grad holds Knez Mihailova Street, the Kalemegdan fortress and the government quarter, with Vracar and Dedinje to the south, where many embassies and residences sit. Across the river, New Belgrade (Novi Beograd) is the business district: numbered blocks of office buildings along Bulevar Mihajla Pupina and Omladinskih brigada, the Airport City business park and the Usce tower. Between the two, Belgrade Waterfront on the Sava bank is a large new district of towers, a shopping mall and hotels. Zemun, to the north on the Danube, has riverside restaurants and old streets. A day moving between ministries in Stari Grad and clients in New Belgrade is a natural use of the hourly chauffeur service.
Hotels and venues the chauffeurs know
Common drop-offs are the Hyatt Regency Belgrade and the Crowne Plaza in New Belgrade, the St. Regis at Belgrade Waterfront, the Metropol Palace on Bulevar kralja Aleksandra and the Square Nine in the old town. Conferences use the Sava Centar congress hall in New Belgrade and the Belgrade Fair on the Sava bank. Concerts and basketball fill the Stark Arena, and football crowds go to the Red Star and Partizan stadiums, where match-day closures change the approach roads.
Events and the Expo 2027 build-up

- May and October: the Belgrade Fair hosts some of its largest trade shows.
- August: the Belgrade Beer Fest at Usce park draws big evening crowds.
- September: BITEF, the international theatre festival.

Which car for Belgrade?
A Standard Sedan suits one or two passengers. The executive SUV is the common choice for three travellers, for winter trips and for cross-border drives with more luggage. A Standard Black SUV or Sprinter Van carries a team; minicoaches and motorcoaches move a delegation from Sava Centar to dinners in Zemun. Stretch limousines and Rolls-Royce, Maybach or Bentley cars come through partners, and armoured SUVs and sedans are provided on request after a risk assessment, relevant for government and diplomatic travel. Motorways, tolls and city traffic
Serbia drives on the right. Motorways such as the A1 north to Novi Sad and Hungary and south to Nis charge tolls at toll plazas, and the A3 west towards Croatia does the same. Inside the city, the Gazela bridge and the Brankov bridge over the Sava are the chokepoints at rush hour, and the chauffeur often routes through the Ada bridge instead. Winter tyres are required in the cold months.
Rail and river arrivals
The main station is Beograd Centar (Prokop), from where fast trains run north to Novi Sad and Subotica on the new high-speed line. Direct passenger trains through to Budapest on the rebuilt Hungarian section are being introduced; check timetables before you rely on them. River cruise boats on the Danube dock at the passenger port below Kalemegdan, and the chauffeur can meet guests at the quay.
Onward: Novi Sad, Budapest and Zagreb
Budapest is about 380 km north through the Horgos-Roszke crossing, Zagreb about 390 km west through Batrovci-Bajakovo, and Sofia about 390 km south-east through Kalotina.
