Franjo Tuđman Airport (ZAG)
Zagreb's airport is at Pleso near Velika Gorica, about 17 km southeast of the city centre. The current terminal opened in 2017 and handles all passenger flights, including domestic routes to Split and Dubrovnik. Standard pickup is at the designated pre-arranged pickup area outside arrivals on the ground floor; the chauffeur texts the exact point and car after landing. Waiting included: 60 minutes on international arrivals, 30 minutes on domestic flights, and 15 minutes on other pickups, followed by 15-minute blocks. Weekday peaks are roughly 7:00 to 9:00 and 15:00 to 17:30, heaviest on the bridges over the Sava and on the ring road.
The city's districts for business visitors
- Donji Grad (Lower Town): the 19th-century grid around Ban Jelačić Square, Zrinjevac park and the main station, with the Esplanade Zagreb hotel opposite the station.
- Gornji Grad (Upper Town): the parliament, government offices and St Mark's Church, reached by narrow lanes where cars are restricted.
- Radnička cesta and the eastern business district: modern office towers, corporate headquarters and business hotels.
- Novi Zagreb: south of the Sava, with the Zagreb Fair grounds, the Museum of Contemporary Art and Arena Zagreb nearby to the west.

Venues and events
Arena Zagreb hosts handball, concerts and large shows; Dom Sportova and the Maksimir stadium, home of Dinamo Zagreb, draw big crowds too. The Zagrebački Velesajam (Zagreb Fair) grounds hold trade fairs through the year.

- Summer: open-air cinema and concerts in the Upper Town and at Strossmayer promenade.
- Late November to early January: Advent in Zagreb, with markets across the centre that make evening traffic very slow.

Rail from Zagreb Glavni Kolodvor
The main station on Tomislav Square is the hub of the Croatian network, with trains to Split, Rijeka and Osijek and international services toward Ljubljana, Vienna and Budapest on some routes; timetables are on HŽPP. Trains to the coast are slow, so most business travellers fly or drive. Chauffeurs meet trains at the front of the station on the square.
Schengen, EES and cross-border drives
Croatia joined Schengen and the eurozone on 1 January 2023. That makes the drives to Ljubljana in Slovenia and Budapest in Hungary (about 350 km, 3.5 to 4 hours) internal Schengen trips without routine passport checks. The road to Belgrade, about 390 km and 4 to 4.5 hours via the Bajakovo crossing, leaves the Schengen area, so the Entry/Exit System registers non-EU travellers when they re-enter; EES has been fully running since 10 April 2026. ETIAS is not yet operating and has no confirmed start date as of September 2026. Official guidance is on the EU travel site.

Who books a Zagreb chauffeur
Zagreb is Croatia's capital and its business centre, so most bookings are corporate. Travel managers move executives between ZAG and headquarters on Radnička or in Novi Zagreb; pharmaceutical, energy and telecoms teams run site visits to plants outside the city; embassy staff and ministry guests need discreet, punctual cars to the Upper Town; and airline crews on layovers need reliable transfers at unsocial hours. Families use the service too, for university visits, weddings in the Zagorje hills north of the city, and transfers to the coast at the start of a summer holiday. Child seats are free on request.

Local driving conditions
Zagreb drives on the right. The city bypass and the A1, A2, A3 and A4 motorways meet around the city and are tolled. The centre has tram lines on most main streets, pedestrian zones around the main squares, and limited parking. Winters bring frost and occasional snow from December to February, and fog in the Sava valley can delay early flights.
