Which airport for Rabat: RBA or CMN?
Rabat-Salé Airport (RBA) is about 10 km northeast of the centre, across the Bouregreg in Salé, and the drive usually takes 15 to 25 minutes. It handles a moderate list of European and regional routes. Mohammed V International (CMN) in Casablanca has far more long-haul connections and is about 115 to 120 km away, typically 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 45 minutes by autoroute. Many visitors fly into CMN and drive straight to Rabat; the CMN airport page covers its terminals.
At both airports the chauffeur waits curbside at the designated pre-arranged pickup area after landing and messages you the car details. A name-board meet and greet in arrivals is an add-on, and add-ons are only available in selected locations. Flights are tracked. The government district and diplomatic quarter

Rabat Agdal is the city's main Al Boraq stop, rebuilt as a large modern station south of the centre. High-speed trains reach Tanger Ville in about 1 hour 20 minutes and Casa Voyageurs in roughly an hour on the shared conventional section. The riverfront is changing fast, with the Zaha Hadid-designed Grand Théâtre de Rabat and the Mohammed VI Tower rising over Salé. Landmarks for a Rabat day
Rabat's historic core has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2012. Entry, road rules and cancellation
Morocco drives on the right and the national police run frequent speed checks on city avenues. Visitors holding EU, UK, US or Canadian passports, among many others, can currently stay up to 90 days visa-free. Rabat is generally orderly and heavily policed; follow your own government's travel advice, and be aware that demonstrations near Parliament are occasionally held and are best avoided.
