EGE is the easy choice when a flight fits. DEN has far more options and is the only choice for most international arrivals, who get 60 minutes of included waiting from landing. Standard pickup is curbside outside baggage claim in the lane the airport designates for pre-arranged ground transportation; your chauffeur texts the vehicle and the spot on landing. How to book a Vail transfer

I-70 in winter: traction and chain laws
Between Dotsero and Morrison, Colorado enforces a Traction Law (Code 15) and, in the worst conditions, a Passenger Vehicle Chain Law (Code 16), from September 1 to May 31. Under the Traction Law, vehicles need snow or all-weather tyres with adequate tread, or four-wheel or all-wheel drive. The Eisenhower-Johnson Memorial Tunnel sits above 11,000 feet and Vail Pass above 10,600 feet, and both close for crashes and storms. How that shapes your trip:
- We assign an all-wheel-drive executive SUV or Sprinter for winter mountain runs where the operator's fleet allows.
- Saturday and Sunday afternoons eastbound to Denver are the slowest of the week; an earlier departure often saves an hour or more.
- If the pass closes, the chauffeur waits at a safe point or turns back, and we re-time the trip with you. The fixed fare does not change for delays.

Getting around Vail Village and Lionshead
Vail Village and Lionshead are largely pedestrian. Cars use the frontage roads, the Vail Village and Lionshead parking structures, the transportation centre and hotel loading areas; lodges with vehicle access, such as the Sonnenalp, The Arrabelle at Vail Square, the Four Seasons Resort and Residences Vail and The Hythe, have their own drop points. Your chauffeur uses the approved access for your lodge, and ski valets usually take over the bags. For private homes in East Vail or on the Golden Peak side, add the gate code and driveway notes to the booking.
Beaver Creek, Aspen and the valley
Beaver Creek is about 10 miles west, and its village is reached through a gatehouse; see Beaver Creek. Edwards and Avon hold the valley's restaurants and services. Aspen is about 100 miles via Glenwood Springs in winter (roughly 2 hours) because Independence Pass is closed from late autumn to late spring. Denver and Telluride round out Colorado. All are booked as intercity transfers.

Which vehicle for the mountains?
An executive SUV is the default for two to four guests with skis. A Standard Black SUV or Sprinter Van carries a family with a week of luggage or a corporate team, and a minicoach moves a conference group from DEN. Corporate retreats and valley business travel
Vail hosts leadership retreats, investor gatherings and incentive trips year-round, with meetings at the large village hotels and the Vail Marriott in Lionshead, and groups often split between Vail and Beaver Creek. A typical programme has staggered arrivals at EGE and DEN, a shuttle rhythm between lodge and meeting venue, dinners in Vail Village or up the mountain, and departures across a whole day. Summer in the valley
Summer is a second high season. Hikers and cyclists head for Vail Pass and the recreation path, golfers play the courses at Vail, Eagle-Vail, Cordillera and Red Sky, and music fans fill the amphitheatre. Summer transfers from DEN are faster than winter ones, typically 2 hours on a weekday, and the booking works the same way: one fixed fare, flight tracking, and the same included waiting.
Rail option
Amtrak's California Zephyr stops at Glenwood Springs, about 60 miles west of Vail, a transfer of roughly an hour on I-70 through Glenwood Canyon, which itself closes at times for rockfall.
