Aberdeen's Low Emission Zone
A Low Emission Zone covers part of the city centre, including Union Street and the streets around the station, and has been enforced since 1 June 2024. It applies to most vehicles that do not meet the emission standards, with penalty charges starting at £60 and doubling for repeat entries. Harbour, ferries and cruise ships
The Port of Aberdeen opened its South Harbour at Nigg Bay in 2023, which lets larger cruise ships call, and the North Harbour remains busy with offshore supply vessels. Peterhead, the fishing and supply port, is about 32 miles north, 45 to 55 minutes up the A90. Montrose is about 38 miles south, 45 minutes to an hour. Waiting and cancellation
Included waiting runs from the actual landing: 60 minutes on international flights, 30 minutes on domestic ones, 15 minutes on other pickups, then 15-minute blocks. Child seats are free on request.
