Gimhae International Airport (PUS): the two terminals
Gimhae sits on the Nakdong River delta in Gangseo District, west of the city. It has a separate international terminal and domestic terminal side by side, linked by a short walk. International flights connect mostly with Japan, China, Taiwan and Southeast Asia; domestic flights link Seoul Gimpo and Jeju many times a day.
Standard pickup is at the designated pre-arranged vehicle pickup area outside the relevant terminal; the chauffeur messages the exact spot after you land. A meet and greet in the arrivals hall with a name board is an add-on, and add-ons are only available in selected locations. Every flight is tracked. Included waiting is 60 minutes from landing on international arrivals, 30 minutes on domestic flights such as the Gimpo shuttle, and 15 minutes on other pickups, then 15-minute blocks. KTX to and from Seoul
Busan Station in Dong-gu is the southern terminus of the Gyeongbu high-speed line. KTX and SRT trains reach Seoul in roughly 2 hours 15 minutes to 2 hours 45 minutes, which makes rail the usual choice for Seoul to Busan business trips. The chauffeur meets you at the station's designated pickup area and has your train number, so a delay is simply tracked. Tickets and times are on Korail. Cruise ships and ferries
Busan has two passenger terminals. The Busan Port International Cruise Terminal on Yeongdo, at Dongsam-dong, handles most large cruise ships. The Busan Port International Passenger Terminal at the North Port near Busan Station handles the ferries to Fukuoka, Shimonoseki and Osaka, and some cruise calls. Districts, hotels and venues
Haeundae is the beach resort and high-rise district, with Marine City's towers and hotels such as the Park Hyatt Busan and the Westin Josun. Centum City next door holds BEXCO, the Busan Exhibition and Convention Center, and one of the world's largest department stores. Gwangalli faces the lit-up Gwangan Bridge. Seomyeon is the central commercial hub, Nampo-dong and Jagalchi Fish Market sit in the old harbour area, and Yeongdo is the island across the Busan Harbor Bridge. The Busan Asiad Main Stadium and Sajik Baseball Stadium are in the north-central districts. For a day moving between BEXCO, a Seomyeon office and dinner in Gwangalli, book the hourly chauffeur service.
Busan's calendar by month
- Late March to early April: cherry blossoms, with nearby Jinhae's festival drawing huge crowds.
- Summer, July and August: Haeundae beach season, with heavy traffic along the coast.
- Early October: the Busan International Film Festival, centred on the Busan Cinema Center in Centum City; hotels fill fast.
- Usually November: the Busan Fireworks Festival over Gwangalli, one of the busiest traffic nights of the year.

Driving in Busan
Korea drives on the right. Visitors can drive with a valid International Driving Permit under the Geneva convention, but Busan's steep, narrow hillside streets, dense traffic in Seomyeon and tolled urban expressways make a chauffeur the easier option for most. Expressway and bridge tolls are collected electronically, so the car does not stop at booths. Speed cameras are frequent and strictly enforced. Typhoons can affect the coast between July and September, with ferry cancellations and slow roads.
Entry rules: visa-free entry and K-ETA
Many nationals can enter South Korea visa-free for a short stay, but visa-waiver travellers normally need a Korea Electronic Travel Authorization (K-ETA) before boarding. Nationals of 22 countries and territories, including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, Japan, Germany and France, are temporarily exempt from K-ETA until 31 December 2026. Applying remains optional for them; approval spares the arrival card. Check the official K-ETA site for your passport before you fly.

Companies with frequent port or factory visits can open corporate accounts with monthly invoicing. Child seats are free on request. Cancelling more than 72 hours ahead is free; within 72 hours the charge is 10%, within 48 hours 50%, and within 24 hours or on a no-show 100%.
