Booking a chauffeur in Tashkent: what to enter and what you get
Use the booking engine on this page or /book/. For an arrival, type the flight number; for a hotel or office, the name or street address is enough. Pick a vehicle, and the price you see covers the chauffeur, fuel and the included waiting time. It does not move with traffic, the hour or demand. Islam Karimov Tashkent International Airport (TAS)
TAS sits in the south of the city, roughly 6 to 8 km from Amir Timur Square. International flights use Terminal 2; domestic flights to Samarkand, Bukhara, Urgench and Nukus use Terminal 3. The two are not joined by an indoor walkway, so a connection between them means going outside and driving round, typically 10 to 15 minutes. Tell us both flights when you book and we time the car accordingly.
Standard pickup is at the airport's designated area for pre-arranged cars outside the arrivals exit. The chauffeur messages the vehicle and plate once you are through customs. A meet and greet inside the arrivals hall with a name board is an add-on; add-ons are only available in selected locations. Every airport job is flight-tracked, and waiting runs 60 minutes from the actual landing on international arrivals, 30 minutes on domestic flights and 15 minutes on other pickups, then in 15-minute blocks. The drive to the centre is short: usually 15 to 25 minutes, up to 35 in the evening peak on Bobur Street or Shota Rustaveli Street.

Neighbourhoods where business and government happen
Tashkent City, the new district of glass towers around the park and the Congress Hall area, is now the address for many banks, law firms and international offices, and it is where the Hilton Tashkent City stands. Mirabad, south and east of Amir Timur Square, holds embassies, the older business hotels and several ministries. Yunusabad to the north is a large residential and commercial district with the TV tower nearby. Chilanzar to the southwest is residential and busy at rush hour. The old city around Chorsu Bazaar and the Hazrati Imam complex is dense, with narrow lanes where a large van needs a planned stop. Samarkand, Bukhara and the Afrosiyob train
Many visitors combine road and rail. The Afrosiyob high-speed train runs from Tashkent's main station to Samarkand in about 2 hours and continues to Bukhara; tickets sell out in spring and autumn, so buy early through Uzbekistan Railways. We can take you to the station, meet you off the train in Samarkand, or drive the whole way for those who want stops en route. A private road trip to Samarkand is a full day, with a lunch stop, and is booked as an intercity transfer.
Which car to choose
A Standard Sedan fits one or two travellers with standard luggage. An executive SUV adds room for winter coats and ski bags heading to Amirsoy. Groups of four to seven with luggage fit a Standard Black SUV; teams of up to about 14 fit a Sprinter Van. Driving in Tashkent: what visitors notice
Traffic drives on the right. The main avenues are wide, but lane discipline is loose and police checkpoints on the approach roads are routine; the chauffeur carries the vehicle papers. Speed cameras are common on the ring road. Winter brings freezing mornings and occasional snow; summer daytime heat often passes 40 degrees Celsius, so cars are pre-cooled before pickup. There are no urban toll roads.
Entry rules for arrivals in 2026
Uzbekistan allows visa-free stays of up to 30 days for citizens of many countries, including the EU states, the UK, Canada, Australia, Japan and South Korea, and since 1 January 2026 all US citizens as well. Other nationalities can usually apply for an e-visa through the official e-visa portal. Hotels register foreign guests with the authorities automatically; travellers staying privately must arrange registration themselves. Rules change, so check with your embassy before flying.
Money, language and practical notes
The currency is the Uzbek som. Russian and Uzbek are widely spoken; English is common in business hotels and among younger professionals, and chauffeurs assigned to international guests are briefed with your itinerary in advance. Friday prayers affect traffic near the larger mosques at midday.

Cancellation and changes
Cancel more than 72 hours before pickup and nothing is charged. Within 72 hours the charge is 10 %, within 48 hours 50 %, and within 24 hours or for a no-show 100 %. A flight delay is not a cancellation: the chauffeur is timed to the actual landing.
