Santa Justa: meeting the AVE
Sevilla Santa Justa is the city's main station and the southern end of Spain's first high-speed line, opened in 1992. AVE trains and competing high-speed services link it with Madrid Puerta de Atocha in about 2 hours 30 minutes, with stops at Cordoba about 45 minutes out. Long-distance trains also run to Malaga, Barcelona and Valencia. The station stands in the Nervion district, about 2 km east of the cathedral.
Standard pickup is at the station's designated pick-up area outside the main entrance, where the chauffeur waits with the car; a name-board meet on the platform or concourse is an add-on, and add-ons are only available in selected locations. Give the train number when you book so the chauffeur follows it. The ride to hotels in the old town takes 10 to 20 minutes, depending on closures. Seville Airport (SVQ)
SVQ, also called San Pablo, lies about 10 km north-east of the centre on the A-4. It has one passenger terminal, and standard pickup is curbside at the designated pre-arranged pickup area outside arrivals. A meet and greet in the arrivals hall is an add-on, available only in selected locations. Flights are tracked; arrivals from outside Spain get 60 minutes of included waiting, domestic flights 30 minutes, then 15-minute blocks. The drive to the old town is usually 20 to 30 minutes. The AP-4 to Jerez and Cadiz has been toll-free since 2020. Faro and the Algarve are reached on the A-49 across the Guadiana, with no border check between Spain and Portugal. Traffic drives on the right.
The old town and where cars can go
Seville's historic centre is one of the largest in Europe, and much of it is off limits to ordinary traffic. The lanes of Santa Cruz around the cathedral and the Alcazar, and parts of Alfalfa and the Arenal, are restricted-access areas controlled by cameras, and hotels inside them can register arriving guests' vehicles. Where they cannot, the chauffeur stops at the closest permitted street and walks bags to the door. The Hotel Alfonso XIII sits beside the university in the former tobacco factory; other guests stay in Triana across the river, around the Plaza Nueva, or near the Plaza de Espana and the Maria Luisa Park. Business travellers head to Nervion, to the Cartuja science park on the former Expo '92 island, and to the Fibes congress centre in Sevilla Este.
Semana Santa and the Feria de Abril
Holy Week brings brotherhood processions through the centre day and night, and whole streets close for hours. The Feria de Abril usually follows about two weeks after Easter and fills the Los Remedios fairground with casetas for a week; the roads around it are jammed each evening. For both, book early and expect drop-offs at set points outside the closures. Our event transportation team plans multi-car movements. Stadiums and big nights
Sevilla FC plays at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan in Nervion and Real Betis at the Benito Villamarin in Heliopolis. The Estadio de La Cartuja hosts major finals and concerts. On match nights, the chauffeur waits at an agreed street away from the police cordon rather than at the stadium door.
River cruises and Cadiz calls
Small expedition and river-style ships sail up the Guadalquivir and moor at the Muelle de las Delicias, a short drive from the Plaza de Espana. Border rules for 2026 arrivals
Non-EU travellers entering from outside Schengen, whether at SVQ or at Madrid before taking the AVE, register with the EU Entry/Exit System: fingerprints and a facial image on the first entry. EES began on 12 October 2025 and completed its phased rollout in April 2026. ETIAS is still not operating; its planned late-2026 start has been withdrawn and a new date will be announced in advance. A Standard Sedan fits the station run and old-town streets; an executive SUV or Standard Black SUV handles families, and a Sprinter Van or minicoach moves a wedding or congress group. Rolls-Royce, Maybach, Bentley and stretch limousines are partner vehicles supplied where available, popular for weddings at country estates outside the city.
